FOREWORD

THIS MAGAZINE

A kung fu fanatic, Po lives in the Valley of Peace and works in
the noodle shop run by his goose father, Mr. Ping. He can't fulfil
his dream of learning the art of kung fu because he doesn't have

enough money to pay for the lessons he needs. A kung fu
tournament is conducted one day for Grand Master Oogway, the

valley's spiritual leader, to identify the identity of the Dragon
Warrior, the only kung fu master capable of unlocking the

Dragon Scroll's secret to endless power. Everyone in the valley
expects the Dragon Warrior to be one of Master Shifu's Furious
Five—Tigress, Monkey, Mantis, Viper, and Crane. To everyone's

amazement, Oogway picks Po, who arrived late due to a
fireworks explosion.



Shifu, not believing Po can be the Dragon Warrior, pushes him

through cruel training routines to get him to quit. Po,
determined to earn respect, keeps practising and befriends the

Furious Five, who had derided him for his lack of kung fu
proficiency. The villainous kung fu fighter Tai Lung, who has
escaped jail to exact vengeance for being denied the Dragon
Scroll, approaches the Valley, and Po fears he will be unable to
beat him. Shifu detects Po's martial arts ability when driven by

food and effectively teaches him in kung fu. Po receives the
Dragon Scroll after his training, but it is blank. Po discovers he
has unlimited strength inside himself, enabling him to overcome

Tai Lung and bring peace to the valley.

The success and eventual result of this project needed a
lot of help and encouragement from many individuals, and
we are very blessed to received this support throughout

the project's completion. One of them is our beloved
lecturer, Dr. Suliahti Hashim. Her guidance in explaining

the scope of works and supervising our works progress.



Not to forget, appreciation to the directors of Kung Fu
Panda (2008), Mark Osborne and John Stevenson for produce

magnificient movie that could be our reference for this
assignment. This family comedy film clearly give many life

lesson to learn. Besides of many fun character have been
developed in this movie.

Po is very excited to attend the festival in After Master Oogway's vision that Tai Lung
Jade Palace. Unfortunately, he could not will escape from the prison. Master Shifu

What is Planning?
Planning is process of thinking to make necessary arrangements for

accomplishing some event or agenda.

In this movie, planning value is really vulnerable in each character.
They are more in give and take instruction rather than properly
discuss what is efficient way to defend themselves from enemy.
Planning is important process in a teamwork. It should own an
objective to ensure that what they have plan is in a good track to the
goals that they want to achieve. Especially in construction industry,
where the nature of industry is huge and complicated. Therefore,
when constructing a plan, it must be simple, clear with the planning
activity and comprehensive. Planning is a process that includes
various aspects.

Environmental studying is the first step in the process, which
planners must be aware of the critical events that their
organisation faces in terms of economic environment,
opponents, and consumers. After that, planners must attempt
to predict possible situations. They must set objectives. Then
considering the many options, planners must decide on the
best course of action for accomplishing goals. They must
develop the essential measures and guarantee that the plans
are carried out effectively.

ANALYSIS FROM MOVIE :

One day, Shifu adopted a cub and named him
Tai Lung, and taking the role of father and
instructor. He brought up Tai Lung and taught
him kung fu. Shifu, monitors Tai Lung's every
day practice. His natural and flawless kung
fu talents, mistook him for the predicted
Dragon Warrior, continually applauding the
young leopard's relentless attempts and
seeming brilliance, inadvertently bolstering

Tai Lung's increasing pride.

Seeing that the key to teaching Po was
sufficient incentive (food), Shifu take
control of Po's training with presence of
food to boost Po's motivation. Shifu then
took Po to the Wu Dan Mountains and
elevated the panda's spirits merely by
expressing his trust in him for the endeavour.
Shifu then began teaching Po in the art of
kung fu in an altogether new manner,
culminating in a "keep-away" combat with a
dumpling. Po eventually defeated Shifu in a

game.

After the tournament, the Five returned to the Training Hall to run through some of the
set-ups monitored by Master Shifu, which later displayed to Po the severely advanced

level of the course. All Five stepped off the course when Shifu asked Po to show his
skill. Po hesitated, seeing that his idols would also be watching him, but eventually
punched it, only to have the Adversary rebound and shove him into the Hall's courses.

The Five and Shifu watched as Po clumsily failed each of the courses

When Shifu conveyed the news of
Oogway's death and Tai Lung's escape to
the Five, their worries about their master's
willingness to allow them to halt Tai Lung
emerged once again. Shifu refused, stating
that it was Po's destiny. Desperate to do
something about it, the Five fled for days
to finf Tai Lung. when Tai Lung is found,
Tigress controls the other members and
leading them to attack on Tai Lung in her

comands.

Monitoring and Controlling

In every project, work entails evaluating actual project
performance to the tasks intended for project management. It is
primarily a control function that occurs at all phases of a project.
Monitoring and controlling project activities is a relatively simple
undertaking. However, management is more stringently necessary
for big projects, where the in order to make a systematic effort to
monitor and supervise the processes.
Based on. this movie, it is frequently seen that Master Shifu always
monitors his students' training. This is important as the information
collected through monitoring reveals gaps or issues, which require
resources to address. Without monitoring & controlling, it wouldn’t
be clear what areas need to be a priority. Resources could easily

be wasted in one area that isn’t the source of the issue.
Monitoring and controlling helps prevent that waste.

ANALYSIS

SCENE 1

Zeng which is the messenger has arrived at the Chorth Gom
Prison to tell the message from Shifu to the Commander Vachir
then he has command to double guards and tighten the security.
The message is about the Dragon Warrior that is chosen by
Oogway which it would not be Tai Lung. After 2 decades in the
prison, Tai Lung has moved and breathed for the first time and
broke the tortoise shell. Tai Lung tried to escape from the prison
where he destroyed the guards as he quickly progressed though
the stages, outjumped the rhinos in strength, agility, and skills.
Afterwards, Tai Lung took Zeng by the neck and respectfully
asked him to return to the Jade Palace with a message of his
own ‘The real Dragon Warrior is coming home’. He set out to
return to the Jade Palace after releasing Zeng, bent on
reclaiming the power of the Dragon Scroll he had been denied
long ago.

SCENE 2

After Tai Lung escaped from the prison, he was speeding across
China when he came upon the Thread of Hope, a rope bridge that
served as the only way through the mountain. The Furious Five
approached him there. Tigress as the leader of Furious Five, she
gives the command during their fight against Tai Lung. They
communicate very well during the fight but Tai Lung is stronger
than them. The Furious Five’s victory was short lived, as Tai Lung
managed to swing up and break away, landing behind the Furious
Five, using what was left for the now destroyed rope bridge. Tai
Lung told the Furious Five that he can defeat them and anyone
else who might oppose him.

COMMUNICATING

DISCUSSION

In project management, communication is crucial.
Many initiatives fail due to lack of insufficient
communication. The sharing of information as a team
and expressing ideas, emotions, and feelings via the
use of words and other ways is best characterized as
communications. In the context of project
management, this refers to the sharing of information,
skills, and experience.

Based on this movie, we can see that communication
is very important. If there is no communication, after
Tai Lung escape from the prison he can just go
straight to the Jade Palace but he didn’t. He
communicates through Zeng who is a messenger to
tell Shifu that he wants to come back to the Jade
Palace to take the Dragon Scroll because he believes
that he was the Dragon Warrior. Other than that, the
communication between the Furious Five where
Tigress is the leader will give a command while
they’re fighting the Tai Lung at the Thread of Hope.

MOTIVATING

ANALYSIS FROM MOVIE :

SCENE 1

Shifu's first move toward Po was to spiritually comfort
him after learning that the panda hated himself. He then
showed Po that he believed in him and that he was the
only one who could overcome Tai Lung. Because of Po's
many motivating elements, Master Shifu had to revise
his training method (food). The film then shows a series
of training drills with the dumpling and the game "catch
me if you can." Po struggled with some of Master
Shifu's difficult instruction, but he remained committed
and perseverant. Po beats Shifu at the completion of the
training programme. Po refused the dumpling prize,
showing that he had overcome his food addiction.

SCENE 2

When he was chosen as a dragon warrior, Shifu
tortured Po to make him leave. He motivated himself to
stay even when he couldn’t believe in himself. When no
one could stand against Shen’s fire ball machine and all
the masters gave up including Shifu, he stood on the
target point refusing to give up. No matter how hard the
situation gets, you only loose if you give up. Nothing
comes easy. The things you want to achieve sometimes
test you if you are sincere enough to pursue it

MOTIVATING

ANALYSIS FROM MOVIE :

SCENE 3

Po walked to the Peach Tree of Heavenly Wisdom,
disheartened by his heroes' words. When Oogway found
him, he listened to Po talk about how he had worries
about being a kung fu fighter. Instead of worrying
about what was and what will be, Oogway motivates Po
to concentrate on the chance he has right now. The
others notice Po isn't in his room the next morning and
assume he's gone, only to discover he's already at the
training courtyard.

SCENE 4

Shifu was loud about his objection to Oogway's
announcement of Po as the next Dragon Warrior. Simply
stated, he disagreed with the choice. The entire thing, in
his opinion, was a mistake. Oogway, on the other hand,
stuck to his guns and motivate shifu and said, "There are
no accidents." Everything that has happened, it was mean
to be. This has nothing to do with freewill or destiny. If
you really think about it, how else are you going to learn
something new? In addition, personal growth is an ever-
going process. Therefore, one’s wisdom and strength
comes from life experiences: good and bad.

MOTIVATING DISCUSSION

Another common topic in this film is
motivation. Motivates someone to do better.
That's what should be implied in every project
management. Motivating means someone tries to make
others feel determined to do something or enthusiastic
about doing it. Motivation can inspire, encourage, and
stimulate individuals and project teams to achieve great
accomplishments. Motivation can also create an
environment that fosters teamwork and collective
initiatives to reach common goals or objectives. The level
of motivation an individual and/or team applies to project
efforts can affect all aspects of project results, including
a direct impact to the triple constraint project success
factors (i.e. on time, within budget, high quality,

met scope / customer expectations).

Po was not trained in the same
way as his other trainees by Shifu (Furious Five).
If he did, Po would have no incentive to go through Shifu’s
hard training program. The meaning is clear: we all learn in
different ways and have different motivational factors. In today's
environment, companies and leaders believe that increasing pay,
incentive programmes, stock options, and healthcare coverage
will motivate employees. This might be effective but should not be
considered efficient. A successful leader, instead, would know
that accountability and giving more
authority and responsibilities
are ways to motivate employees to
make their job more inspiring.

CONCLUSION
of
THIS MOVIE

In conclusion, Kung Fu Panda is an animated action-comedy
movie. In this movie there are many moral values that we can
learn. One of it is do not compare yourself to others. You don’t
have to be better than the greatest to succeed. However, you
owe it to yourself to be the greatest ‘you’ possible. There’s always
something unique about you that no one else possesses. Don’t

compare yourself to others instead, come up with your own
distinctive approach.



This movie includes multiple aspects such as planning,
monitoring and controlling, communicating, and motivating
which support them to remaining strong and overcoming the
obstacle. These four aspects of project management are crucial to
apply since it necessitates strong leadership qualities, and the

capacity to cope with challenging situations is one of the
qualities that identify a good project manager. Management is

crucial to any organization's performance in terms of
accomplishing its goals and objectives. As a result, we believe
that management is crucial to the success of any business. The
administration of an organization has a direct impact on its

performance. Management is vital and cannot be ignored,
whether the business is small, medium-sized, or huge.
