1
Once upon a time there was a reindeer,
Gustav, that lived in the North Pole. He
lived in a small cosy, wooden house in
the middle of a dense forest.
2
Every morning Gustav woke up, took his
shovel and then he went outside to clean
the snow in front of his cabin. This was
a very tiring chore, so Gustav was
exhausted when he finished.
3
Afterwards, he went into his hut and sat
on a rocking chair to relax. He often
used to make himself a cup of hot cocoa
which he enjoyed by the fireplace.
4
A few hours later he made sure that
everything was in place and went to bed.
5
Every night there was a terrible
earthquake, but Gustav never woke up
during his sleep.
6
In the mornings he got out of bed and he
did his housework.
7
One morning he woke up, made himself some
cocoa and went to get his shovel but it
wasn’t there.
8
He started digging in the snow with his
hands when, all of a sudden, he felt
something hard under the cold snow.
9
‘At last, I found it!’ said Gustav.
Unfortunately, it wasn’t his shovel. It was
a shiny, yellow thing. He kept digging and
he realised that it was a wishing star.
Gustav wished to find his shovel and a
loving family. His wish came true
immediately. He was really excited!
And he lived happily ever after with his
family…
