Political history is the chronicle of political affair, scheme, gesture,
government organs, voters, parties, and leaders as well as a survey of
them. Other areas of history, particularly diplomatic history,
constitutional history, and public history are all intertwined with it.
Political chronicle is the study of how potential is marshal and
exercised in big edifications. Other social history, which focuses
mainly on the activities and lives of typical people, or people at the
past which is historical work from the perspective of the common
people, focuses on the elites in power, their influence on society,
popular response, and interactions with the elites. The Political
Archives contains over 4000 linear feet of archival material which is
manuscripts, books, photos, film, sound recordings and digital files.

The International Congress off Archives and Archivists of
Parliaments and Political Parties is an international organization that Accession No: 2001/0009163W
brings together professionals who work in parliaments, political
parties, and politicians’ archives.
For this assignment, we agreed to choose Tun Dr. Mahathir Bin
Mohamad as a political figure. He was born on December 20, 1925,
at Alor Star Kedah. Tun Dr. Mahathir was a Malaysian politician who
served as prime minister of Malaysia since 1981 until 2003. Then
again be a prime minister in 2018 until 2020. As a result, he became
Malaysia’s longest-serving prime minister. His political profession
lasted over 40 years until he retired temporarily. Tun Dr. Mahathir
extended tenure as prime minister provided Malaysia with the
political stability required for economic development. He encouraged
foreign investment, overhauled the tax code, lowered trade barriers,
and privatized several state-owned businesses. Many of the concepts
espoused by Tun Dr. Mahathir were reflected in the government’s
New Economic Policy, which was implemented in 1971 to better the
economic status of Malaysia.

Kilang Ais, Off Jalan Pegawai Alor Setar, Kedah Malaysia’s

education at MRSM Kota Bharu and continued his studies abroad. He
has held the position of Head Chief of Kedah twice, in 2013 and 2018.

7 Tun Dr. Mahathir received early education at the Seberang Perak
Malay School before entering the English school is now known as the

that has been provided. As users, we must take advantage of its importance, in fact the information is very high quality and refined by others that

search or to obtain more complete information electronically, the behaviour of seeking information using actual search. Even with the discovery

RECOMMENDATION
First recommendation is providing a help page. Providing a Help page, it is one of the main things where you can attract curious website users,
find, and state some questions or things they do not know with more clear relevant explanations. Other than that, it also serves as an additional
platform to help users answer their questions that are quite complex and different. In addition, although this page is often ignored by users, the
Help page is one of the important components in providing services to users of this website that is Online Finding Aids. So, we must provide and
answer all the information needed users.
Second recommendation, the literature on how to use the Online Finding Aids website as well suggested to upgrade the online search tool. With
the availability of these resources, Online Finding Aids should strive and constantly update with the latest technology to update their writing
guidelines to suit the online search aids for new users as well as experienced users to become more accessible and usable for users.
Third recommendation is increasing the usability of online search by users, the online search tool is a website that is Online Finding Aids, and if
web users having trouble accessing the required information on the website, then they will leave the website immediately. We must try to make
the usability of online search tools deserves the attention of archivists. With increasing technology, user expectations of web usability also change
over time. After that, increasing the usability of online search is not an annual activity, but an ongoing commitment. In fact, they should know
more about online needs users and draw a blueprint for an archive access system tailored to web users such as what users often access.
Forth recommendation is provide basic navigation feature. Online Finding Aids must state the purpose and importance of navigation in your site,
making each option similar and being a cohesive unit. Also, provide a convention to describe you - bars and tabs are typically used for main
navigation, a vertical mechanism on the left for local navigation - but there are not any pre - set rules, and there are many different types. To use
it we have to try it first, that is, try to think of it as a user’s, not a designer. We should try to use it as users who do not know anything about the

navigation mechanism. Thus, it will make us better understand the type of navigation shown by the menu can help users predict the link and change
the direction of themselves on the new page based on their knowledge.
