Wa-ter nightmare! Peter was woken up by a strange sound. “What could that be?” he asked, looking around the room. All of a sudden, a drop of water dripped on his nose! It was followed by another, then another! He went to investigate where the water was coming from. He’d forgotten to turn the taps off in the bathroom. The bath had overflowed. ©Nessa’s Lessons 1. Name …………………………………… The pirate ship lost its sails in a storm the night before on their way to an island they had buried treasure on. The ship couldn’t go anywhere without any sails. Pirate Pete, a rival pirate captain, waved at them as his ship whizzed past. He wanted to get to the treasure first! Captain Tell-Tale sent for the dirty laundry. “Quick! Stitch everything together to make a sail before Pirate Pete steals our treasure!” he said. All the crew stitched socks, tops and hats together and hoisted up the strange looking sail. It did the trick! They raced past Pirate Pete and got to the treasure first.

She weighed and tipped the ingredients into the mixing bowl to be whisked as she whizzed from shelf to shelf. In went the flour, butter, chocolate chips, sugar and spice. Into the oven they went till cooked and crisp. When they’d cooled she took a bite out of a cookie and pulled a face. They tasted of salt! In her haste, she’d put salt into the cookie dough instead of sugar! Sally had to make another batch of cookies.
