AN IMMERSIVE SEMINARY EXPERIENCE:

DHL Seminary Alef offers a phenomenal post-secondary Torah and
Chassidus study with a variety of growth opportunities through
programs and experiences. The program is constantly evolving to meet
the needs of students in today's ever-changing world.

OUR LOCATION We are proud and grateful to be located in
the heart of it all, the Rebbe’s Shechunah.
Your daughter will tap into the atmosphere
of “living with the Rebbe”. Opportunities are
available to participate in a variety of
leadership roles, such as Kinus or C-Teen.

SELECT TEACHERS Thanks to our prime location, your daughter
will have access to outstanding faculty and
instructors. From world-renowned
authorities on Torah and Chassidus to JLI
course authors, your daughter will
experience academic learning on a whole
new level. Our well-rounded curriculum,
which includes topics in Bayis Yehudi, helps
students develop a deeper appreciation for
Yiddishkeit and build Chassidishe homes.

OUR PROGRAM Seminary is an all-encompassing experience.
Classes are held from 8:30 a.m. to 3:45 p.m.,
followed by evening classes and activities.
The time in between is filled with growth and
bonding through programs.

Our comprehensive program includes:
Weekly Thursday night farbrengens
Weekly Melava Malkas with inspirational
speakers or at nearby Chabad houses
Multiple exceptional Shabbatons each
year in beautiful locations that help
students connect with each other, with
our staff, and with their learning
Shared Shabbos seudos and programs
Hachanos and events for every Yoma
Dipagra

An emphasis is placed on reaching your
daughter personally. Individual mentors are
available to guide and support each student
to maximize her seminary experience.

ACCOMMODATIONS Out-of-town students are required to live in
one of the Residence Houses or with a family
approved by the ‫הנהלה‬. Crown Heights
students have the option to live at home or
may choose to live in the Seminary
Residence House. This option is ideal for
those who want the feel of a fantastic
seminary year away from home. All programs
are designed for all students, regardless of
where they choose to live.

ERETZ YISROEL TRIP* A highlight of the Seminary Alef year is the
Eretz Yisroel Live and Learn trip, may we all
*additional fee applies go to Eretz Yisroel with Moshiach now! This
valuable two-week experience offers your
daughter a comprehensive encounter with
Eretz Yisroel. The trip is led by
knowledgeable tour guides who facilitate
hands-on interaction with the land. The girls
farbreng with unique personalities who leave
a lasting impression on them. Former
students still talk about the impact of this
trip years later.

FINANCIAL AID:

Beth Rivkah DHL students may be eligible for New York State (TAP) and
federal grants (PELL) that may significantly reduce your out-of-pocket
tuition costs for seminary. If the amount of grants exceeds your tuition

cost, the remaining portion will be issued to the student for her
personal expenses.

PELL This federal grant is available to U.S.
citizens who are financially eligible. To apply
(maximum amount for 2023, for the Federal Financial Aid (PELL grant) go
$6,495) to FAFSA.gov. Our school code for Pell is
011208.

It is very important that you fill out all the
information in your FAFSA carefully and
accurately. Information may require
verification.

TAP This grant is available to New York State
residents or Dreamers (students who attend
(maximum amount for 2023, a New York State high school for at least 2
$5,665) years.)

In addition to financial eligibility, your
daughter needs to have a New York State
Regents Diploma, GED or TASC issued no
later than August 31, 2022.

SUDY ABROAD This option is for students who will spend
Seminary Alef abroad at:

Beit Chana, Tzfas,
Machon Shoshanat Yerushalayim
Machon Alte, Tzfas

As a DHL Seminary Study Abroad student,
your daughter may be eligible for financial
aid.

1.Apply online at bethrivkah.edu/dhl as a
Seminary Alef Study Abroad student for
2022/2023. Your daughter will sign a letter
of commitment to attend DHL for
Seminary Bais.

2.Complete your financial aid application at
FAFSA.gov.

3.Once you are admitted to the program,
you will be required to pay DHL $2,000
towards your DHL study abroad tuition
charges.

There are approximately 50 spots available
for study abroad, with priority given to
graduates of Bais Rivkah High School,
Brooklyn, NY.
