FAIR TRADE & SUSTAINABILITY

Fair Trade is a priority for Bliss Tea & Treats, and sustainability is at the core of all that we do. Here are just a few
reasons why fair trade and sustainability practices are so important to Bliss Tea & Treats:


• Fair trade practices help producers in under-developed countries have greater opportunities to acquire the
resources they need to improve their livelihood.

• Sustainable development protects against land loss by promoting environmentally friendly processes which in
turn creates a healthy working environment for producers and their families. We strive to create as little waste as
possible. We sell reusable tins, recycled paper products, and compost tea leaves whenever possible.

• Fair trade practices also promote fair wages for workers, build schools and hospitals, create cultural centers,
promote gender equality and fights against child labor in tea producing areas.

ORGANIC

When possible Bliss Tea & Treats prioritizes the selection of organic teas. All ingredients used in organic teas
must be of organic origin and only natural flavors may be used. Official agreements of the USDA and European
Commission have acknowledged compatibility of each other’s organic certifications.

Our Treats

We have crafted sweet and savory treats that pair well with our tea selection. They
are handmade and each ingredient is integrated to deliver a blissful experience. You
can experience these desserts, sandwiches and scones at our Bliss Tea and Treats
location or cater a private event at your place.

Meet The Owner

A Message from Founder Rushell Gordon

As a Panama native, I grew up drinking tea. Before we went
off to school, we were offered a hot beverage. Whether that
beverage was malted Ovaltine, Milo, hot chocolate (widely
referred to as cocoa), bush tea, or bagged Lipton tea, it was
all referred to as “tea.”
Many people grew bush teas in their backyards. Today, I’m
continuing the tradition by growing fresh herbs in my home
garden. Over the years I’ve learned so much about fine teas
and the exquisite experience that can be created around
tea.

Why Tea?

When it comes to tea, Americans miss out on a core experience that so many cultures around the world have enjoyed
for decades.
As I walked through the cobblestone streets of Sydney, Australia, I was overwhelmed by the beautiful tea rooms with
immaculately decorated desserts. I admired the people relaxing and enjoying their tea, treats, and conversation.
In Europe, I was in awe at the way people would spend endless hours chatting and enjoying a decadent cup of tea
and light refreshments. Historically, high tea provided the opportunity to enjoy a snack before a late dinner. Today, it’s
simply a beautiful reason to relax.
In Asia, tea is both the introduction and the conclusion to every meal. The healing nature of tea is celebrated as
part of many cultures. After trying Thai iced tea in Thailand and green tea in Japan and China, I fell in love with the
traditions. These experiences inspired me to create Bliss Tea & Treats so I can share them with you.

The Bliss Culture

Service and Quality is our top priority. We know that attention to details will get us closer to
delivering a blissful experience for our guests.
The spirit of Bliss is always evolving because we strive to keep getting better. Our themes
change because we want to keep delivering new exciting experiences. The decorations
changes, costumes and featured menu items.
Bliss Tea & Treats is a sustainable company. Our goal is to offer a variety of organic teas to
our community. The teas are sold in re-fillable tins. This sustainable practice is intentionally
designed to reduce waste that is produced from tea bags.
Artisan sandwiches are a unique part of the experience at Bliss. We make everything fresh,
and we only use the freshest ingredients. Start every meal with a fresh California mixed salad.
We always make the dressing and croutons in the tea room. Personalize your tea experience
either hot, iced or with boba pearls. The sandwiches are served warm and uniquely crafted to
complement any of our teas.
We incorporate our communitea into the spirit of Bliss through the many events we host. Our
goal is to offer relevant diverse events.

BREATHE (caffeine free)

Organic Green Rooibos, Organic Tumeric, Organic Ginger, Organic Lemongrass,

ROASTED ALMOND (caffeine free)

Apple pieces, Crushed almonds, Cinnamon pieces, Beetroot pieces, Flavoring.
An acid-free base is embossed by the high portion of sweet apple pieces and its
red color nuance comes from the added beetroot. The flavor note is determined by
tempting, sweet, roasted, caramelized almonds. It is a taste experience which your
nose and palate knows and loves from spring and summer fun fairs, the October Fest
and Christmas markets.

SNICKERDOODLE (caffeine free)

Organic green rooibos, organic cinnamon pieces, sweet blackberry leaf and
flavoring.
If you love cinnamon this blend is for you. The aroma of this blend will captivate all
of your senses. The brewed cup is amber colored with the taste of fresh backed
snickerdoodle cookies.

TULSI ORANGE CRANBERRY GINGER ORGANIC TEA (caffeine free)
Organic Tulsi, Organic Orange Peel, Organic Rosehips, Organic Hibiscus,
Organic Ginger, and Natural Flavors
Refreshing flavors that make for a lovely afternoon tea. This is great for the ginger
lovers.

LOVE TEA (caffeine free)

The Love tea is the birthchild of the Valentines theme – Beauty and the Beast,
a perfect love story. Our guests love the flowery combination of flavors. The tartness
of the hibiscus is softened with the roses and chamomile.

HUNGER SUPPRESSANT (caffeine free)

Hunger Suppressant is a hearty blend of turmeric, apples, chamomile and other
ingredients that work together to help you feel a sense of satiety. The blend of flavors
is hearty and bold but not overpowering. A great way to start the morning workout.

RELAX (caffeine free)

Relax herbal blend is perfect for anyone who is experiencing anxiousness. Drink this
blend to calm down and relax. The proprietary blend has a refreshing herbal flavor
that can be consumed any time of day. This blend is great for adults and kids.

WOMEN'S STRENGTH (caffeine free)

This blend of nettle, roses, fennel and other proprietary ingredients support the
strength of the reproductive system. This blend is great for relieving menstrual
cramps.

COTTON CANDY (caffeine free)

Cotton Candy herbal blend is a combination of fruit bits and marshmallows. This

Rest and Digest is a blend of cinnamon, chamomile, turmeric and ginger. This earthy

Green Caffeinated Teas

BLUEBERRY GREEN (medium caffeine)

Chinese green tea with lemongrass, blueberry, and vanilla
We've artfully blended Chinese green tea with lemongrass, blueberry, and vanilla.
This tea is delightful either hot or cold.

GUNPOWDER (caffeine)

Organic green tea.
This tea is dried in rolling drums. The constant rotation gives the tea it’s spherical
form. Typical gunpowder is created by wetting the leaves a few times during the
short roasting period, which slows down the drying process and results in the
curling of the leaves. This organic version, which is high in caffeine, can also be
infused more than once which will reduce the slightly tangy character.

HAPPY PLACE (medium caffeine)

Organic Guayusa, Organic Rosehips, Organic Hibiscus, Organic Green Jasmin,
Tea, Organic Apple Bits, Organic Raspberry Bits, and Natural Flavor
If you're looking to bring a ray of sunshine to your senses, you have come to the right
place. Surely the name of this tea alone is enough to put a smile on anyone's face.
Sometimes we get a little intertwined in our ordinary, everyday lives and could use a
fresh perspective. So what better way to lift your spirits than to tantalize your palate
with a cup of this organic, utopian bliss? Sweet raspberries are perfectly balanced by
the tangy effervescence of fresh hibiscus flowers while the indulgent, floral scent of
jasmine carries this slightly stimulating guayusa tea.

RWANDA GREEN (caffeine)

Organic Green tea
Almost 75% of all Rwandan cultivated teas come from small farms which have
united in a cooperative called Assophte. The proportion of orthodox tea is not even
20 percent. This green tea rarity grows at an altitude of approximately 1,800 m
above sea level. The infusion unfolds the wiry, dark-green leaf and a scenty, slightly
spinach-like aroma which stays on your palate for some time after tasting the tea.
The cup is a shining lime color.

HOPE TEA

The Bliss Hope Blend combines organic gunpowder green tea with a proprietary
blend of ingredients. This tea was created to lift your spirits when you are feeling
down. Caffeine from green tea for an extra boost of sustainable energy.

HEADACHE / HANGOVER

The herbal blend of hibiscus that is known to have antioxidants that boasts anti
inflammatory properties. The reduction of inflammation in blood vessels allows for
relief with headaches. Skullcap is also used in this proprietary blend a mild relaxant.
Skullcap has been known to help with neurological and inflammation. When feelings
of a hangover set in, this blend will numb the headache.

ASSAM HIMALAYAN SINGLE ORIGIN WHOLE LEAF (caffeine)

This special loose leaf tea is made from hand-plucked tea leaves from a Certified
Elephant Friendly™ farm nestled at the foot of the Himalayas. This fine tea is rich
and malty, bold with a touch of natural sweetness. A classic Assam tea that is
wonderful hot or iced!

COCONUT CACAO PU-ERH (caffeine)

Organic Puerh, Cocoa nibs and Coconut
This is a smooth, earthy and sweet tea. Pure Bliss! This unique blend of organic
loose-leaf Pu-erh with cocoa nibs and coconut provides a smooth, round, robust,
yet sweet flavor with a mild hazelnut finish. Steep multiple times to experience a
different flavor profile with each brew.

EIFFEL (caffeine)

Black Tea, Oolong Tea, Natural Vanilla, Black Currant, Bergamot Oil, and
Caramel Flavors
A fruity black tea with vanilla and caramel flavors, and a hint of lemony Bergamot.
The aroma is delightful!

DARJEELING (caffeine)

A tea grown in the Darjeeling district, Kalimpong District in West Bengal, India.
It is processed as black, green, white and oolong tea. When properly brewed, it yields
a thin-bodied, light-colored infusion with a floral aroma.

GINGERS OOLONG (caffeine)

A traditional semi-oxidized Chinese tea produced through a process including
withering the plant under strong sun and oxidation before curling and twisting.

CRÈME BRULEE (medium caffeine)

Black Teas, Flavoring, and Marigold petals
We blend rich black teas with the natural flavor of toasty caramel. The result is a
smooth and delicious tea with the heavenly aroma of fresh caramel and a slightly
sweet aftertaste. This tea is best enjoyed after dinner with a touch of sugar.

HOT CINNAMON SPICE (caffeine)

Black Tea, Orange Peel, Flavoring, Ground Cinnamon, and Ground Cloves
One of our most popular flavored tea, Hot Cinnamon Spice is an assertive blend of
black teas, three types of cinnamon, orange peel, and sweet cloves. No sugar added.
Kosher.

ORGANIC ENGLISH BREAKFAST (caffeine)

Organic Black Tea
A perfect breakfast with good body and full tea flavor notes. Coppery bright and
especially enticing with milk.
