FAMILY WEEKEND 2018!
We hope you enjoy spending time with your student, exploring our
beautiful campus and cheering on the Gophers (student athletes,
leaders, performers, and all of our wonderful community).
The PFW schedule includes something for everyone so have fun
and we hope to see you again soon!

Saturday Lunch Options
A food truck will be available behind Coffman Memorial Union for
easy access to a meal from 11:30am-1:30pm. Starbucks on the ground
level of Coffman will be open from 9am-4pm. Also, if you’d like
to venture a bit further, head east on Washington Avenue toward
Stadium Village for many great restaurant options.

FAMILY TAILGATE
3M Arena at Mariucci, 4-7pm
Start practicing the U of M rouser and head on over to the Parent
& Family Weekend tent for the Family Tailgate prior to the Gopher
Football v Indiana game at 7pm. Make sure to stop by and pick up
your Gopher Family game day bag!
Enjoy games (hosted by the College of Liberal Arts), mingling with a
variety of staff representing colleges on campus, along with nachos,
popcorn and hot cider. Food for purchase will be available near the
tent as well.
Attendance to this event is included in the Parent & Family
Weekend registration.
AT HOME IN MN BREAKFAST

Is your Gopher family from another state? Join us for a lovely
catered breakfast and meet other out-of-state families.
We have partnered with the Office of Transition Experiences to
welcome families of out-of-state students with this fun Minnesota-
inspired event.
GOPHER GET TOGETHER
Coffman Memorial Union,
Room 321, 1:30-3pm
Mingle with staff, families and animals at this year’s Gopher Get
Together. Enjoy a performance from a campus student group,
snacks, and even a visit from our furry friends from the on-campus
resource, Pet Away Worry and Stress (PAWS). Attendance to this
event is included in the PFW registration.

VISIT THE BELL MUSEUM!
Take a ride on the complimentary campus shuttle to the Bell
Museum in St. Paul. The shuttle will run continuously from 1:15-
4:30pm on Saturday between Coffman Memorial Union and the
museum. See map for pick-up location.
Pre-purchased Planetarium tickets should be picked up at PFW
check-in. Show times are: Saturday at 2pm and 3:15pm; Sunday at
12:45pm. If attending a Planetarium show, plan to catch the shuttle
30-45 minutes prior to your scheduled show. The Planetarium is
located on the first floor of the museum.
All are welcome to visit the Bell Museum. Check-in at the front desk
and let staff know you are a PFW participant to receive discount
pricing: $10 for adults, $7 for youth and free for UMN students.
Other transportation options include the Campus Connector,
app-based ride options or drive on your own using this address:
2088 Larpenteur Avenue West, St. Paul, MN, 55113. Paid surface lot
parking is available with an entrance off of Larpenter Avenue.
The daily rate is $5.
SUNDAY MORNING AT THE REC
Recreation & Wellness Center, 9-11am
(Pre-registration required)
Get active with your student and attend a class at the Rec! RecWell
is offering three options to registered families. These classes
include yoga flow at 9:30am, and bouldering and crate stacking
throughout the morning. Yoga mats will be available on-site.
Make sure to wear athletic gear.
SUNDAY SEND-OFF
Recreation & Wellness Center, 9-11am
All families registered for the weekend are invited to a final farewell
on Sunday morning at RecWell for a light breakfast and a chance to
chat with other families one last time before leaving.
