FERDINAND, THE BULL
FERDINAND, THE BULL Once upon a time in Spain, there was a little bull and his name was Ferdinand. All the other little bulls liked running and jumping and fighting. But Ferdinand didn ´t like that. Most of the time, he sat daydreaming under an old cork tree. It was his favourite tree. He liked sitting there all day and smelling the flowers. Sometimes his mother was worried about him. "Why don't you run around and play with the other bulls?" she asked. But Ferdinand shook his head. "I like it better here where I can just sit quietly and smell the flowers, " he answered. So his mother let him just sit there and be happy. With the years, Ferdinand grew up and he became very big and strong. The other bulls who had grown up with him liked fighting all day long. But not Ferdinand, he still liked sitting quietly under the cork tree, daydeaming and smelling the flowers.
FERDINAND, THE BULL One day five men came. They wanted to find a strong bull for the bullfights in Madrid. All the other bulls ran around wildly so that the men could see that they were very strong. Ferdinand didn't care. He went to his favourite cork tree to sit down. But there was a bee in the grass. He sat down on it. The bee had a shock, so it stung him. Wow! That really hurt! Ferdinand jumped up and ran around wildly. When the five men saw him they were happy. They had found the biggest, fastest and strongest bull of all. Just the right one for the bull fights in Madrid! So they took him away to Madrid. The bullfight was a big event. They had a parade in the arena. Then Ferdinand came and he ran to the middle of the arena and everyone shouted and clapped because they thought he was a very strong bull.
FERDINAND, THE BULL The matador looked at Ferdinand and his strong horns. He was a little bit afraid. Ferdinand looked around. He saw all the lovely ladies with the flowers in their hair. He saw the matador. He looked at him, but he didn ´t want to fight and he just sat down quietly smelt the flowers and started daydreaming. The matador shouted at Ferninand and ran around, but Ferdinand didn ´t care. This went on for quite a long time, and then they had to take Ferdinand home. And there he is still sitting under his favourite cork tree, smelling the flowers and dreaming.

Pirate Percy and
Pand ercy pirate Many, many years ago Percy the pirate had a big ship called “Storm of the Seven Seas “. He attacked other ships and captured them. Then he took all their money, gold and silver which they had on board. Quickly he sailed away and nobody could catch him and his crew. He got more and more money and jewels and diamonds. So he had to find a place where he could hide his big treasure. He was sailing across the seas for days and weeks to find a good hiding place. Then, one day he saw an island. It was grey and there were lots of rocks. When he came nearer, he knew there were no people and no animals. He said “That´ s a good hiding place for my treasure.“ He climbed with his crew out of his ship and carried the bags on to land. They walked up a path and passed a very old tree. Then they turned left. After a few minutes they came to a small river and crossed it. They climed up a hill. Suddenly they saw a small cave. They put all the bags in there. Pery thought that it was the best hiding place for his treasure. Then they went back to their ship. On their way back home they got into a very bad storm. All the other pirates died in the sea. Pery survived and could save his treasure map. But now Percy is too old to go back to his treasure and get it. He still has got his treasure map. Who will find Percy ´ s treasure one day? ......
