ALLY

Multi-Genre Theme Project

By Peyton Vecchi

Ally

Dear Reader,
The purpose of this book is to tell about why allies are important in our everyday lives.

I chose ally because I think that it is the most important topic to me, I rely on my friends on a
daily basis and they all really mean a lot to me. Ally means to me someone who will do
something for you and not need something back, an ally could also mean someone who you will
trust and have faith in. reading the book Night I learned that an ally could be anyone who wants
the best for you or someone who wants the best for you even if they don't even know you. I just
wish to tell you in as many ways I can what I think an ally means to me and hopefully I can open
your mind a bit or at least intrigue you.

THE BEATLES

With a Little Help from My Friends

What would you think if I sang out of tune,
would you stand up and walk out on me?
lend me your ears and I'll sing you a song
and I'll try not to sing out of key.
Oh, I get by with a little help from my friends
mm, I get high with a little help from my friends
mm, gonna try with a little help from my friends
What do I do when my love is away
(does it worry you to be alone?)
how do I feel by the end of the day,
(are you sad because you're on your own?)
No, I get by with a little help from my friends
mm, I get high with a little help from my friends
mm, gonna try with a little help from my friends
Do you need anybody
I need somebody to love
could it be anybody
I want somebody to love.
Would you believe in love at first sight
yes, I'm certain that it happens all the time
what do you see when you turn out the light
I can't tell you but I know it's mine,
Oh, I get by with a little help from my friends
mm, I get high with a little help from my friends
mm, gonna try with a little help from my friends
Do you need anybody
I just need someone to love
could it be anybody
I want somebody to love.
Oh, I get by with a little help from my friends
with a little help from my friends.

Endnote: Endnote: well this was just the first song that came to mind when I thought hmm a song
about friends I thought about this, it's about how it's easier to have fun and how it's important to
have friends.

Endnote: this comic kind of shows having a friend can make even the grumpiest people much
happier

Being An Ally Poem

You and I--

We meet as strangers,

each carrying a mystery with us.

I cannot say who you are.

I may never know you completely.

But I trust that you are a person in your own right,

Possessed of beauty and value that are

the Earth’s richest treasures.

So I make this promise to you:

I will impose no identities upon you,

but will invite you to become yourself

without shame or fear.

I will hold open a space for you in the world and

[support] your right to fill it with authentic vocation and purpose.

For as long as your search takes,

you have my loyalty.

-Author Unknown

Endnote: this poem really tells what having an ally is really about and what it really means to have
someone you can trust

Diary entry:
In my opinion, an ally is someone you have faith in, someone you trust, someone
you could call a friend. I have multiple ally's I see nearly day to day. My best
friend Parker is a very smart kid, I struggle in math, I trust him to teach me and
help me learn my math when I am unable to myself. I'm able to trust him and put
my faith in him that he will help me out. That and many other qualities about my
friend is how I define an ally.

Endnote: this diary is just a story of what I would call an ally or a friend and it's a story of one of my
closest ally
