TRUSTEES
This is the group of people that oversees the strategic direction of the Trust. They line manage the CEO and ensure governance in each school is
appropriate. They check that governors focus on pupils’ standards and pupil care, school finance and line management of the headteachers.
Simon Foster is a highly successful businessman, and CEO Graham is Chair of Trustees. Graham worked as a Senior

Heather Cox is a former pupil at Denbigh High School, and has Mark Thompson set up Beds SCITT, 27 years ago, and has
been involved in the Trust schools for many years, particularly worked with almost all schools in Bedfordshire! Mark retired
at Denbigh High where she is Chair of the Local Governing from his role as Deputy Head at Wootton Upper last year,
Body. Heather worked in the banking industry. after over 20 years as a Deputy Head. Mark still works in initial
teacher training and will be a huge asset in Teaching School
context.

Juliet Fern is an Associate Dean, and is Head of the Mike Berrill established Chiltern Training Group, 28 years ago.
School of Teacher Education at the University of Mike then went on to lead Biddenham as Head, for twenty years

As a Trust our vision is to educate, empower and inspire generations of children through a network of outstanding
schools. We want every pupil to make extraordinary progress, achieve exceptional standards and have access
to outstanding enrichment opportunities.
We provide the specialist staff to ensure our vision and values become a reality. Our MAT Development Team
works across the Trust to: raise standards; improve teaching and learning; accelerate improvements in English,
mathematics and science; and to ensure pupils have access to exceptional experiences in sport, music, design
and cutting-edge technology.

SCHOOL IMPROVEMENT TEAM
We have a team of Trust SLEs all of whom are based in one of our Trust schools. For part of the week they teach in
their home school. For the rest of the week they are available to other schools for training, School to School support,
coaching and the like. This can be on a one off basis or for a more long term project. Some examples of what our
SLEs did last year include; helping with pre and post Ofsted plans, supporting senior teams, improving Teaching
and Learning, intervention and support work in different schools, mentoring trainee teachers, coaching, working with
middle leaders, acting as facilitators on training programmes, writing successful bids for funded programmes and
quality assurance work for CTG.
