Add your Photo to Teams, Outlook, etc.
A profile picture helps others see you but the default display will be your initials in Office 365
Add your photo to Office 365
Boston Username, Employee ID, Email Address
All Boston Users have a username, email address and Employee ID. Your username is the first 6 letters
of your last name + the first initial of your first name. Your username + your password is how you get
into your computer.
Your Boston Email address is [email protected]. Your email address is used as your login
to many Boston Scientific applications
Your Employee ID is seven digits and is assigned by HR.
When you contact IT or HR, you will provide them with your employee ID.

Requesting Hardware
To get hardware such as monitors, Webcam, mouse, keyboard, you can utilize the eBar or visit

Request Software to Install
Use the Order Hardware/Software form to request software such as Adobe Acrobat Professional,
Microsoft Visio, Microsoft Project, Power BI

For other licensed software, go to https://requestit, search for unlisted software and fill out the form.
The BSC Software team will work with the vendor to obtain the license and the media.

eSC is short for eSolution Center for general IT support, computer hardware issues, and requesting

Printing
Most BSC offices use a printer called Follow-you. You will need to add the printer driver to your
computer and then register your badge at any Follow-you printer by scanning your badge and entering
your username/password on the touch screen.
Wireless printers can be connected to BSC computers following the printer user guide.
Reports
BSC has two reporting platforms – Tableau and PowerBI. Access to different web-based reports is
controlled with Active Directory groups
Boston Password and two-factor
Your account is secured with a password as well as the Microsoft Authenticator. Your password should
be hard for others but easy for you following Security guidelines. Passwords should contain 8-15
characters, have numbers, upper case, lower case letters and optionally special characters.
Additionally, we secure your account with the Microsoft Authenticator app which allows you to approve
access from your mobile device when accessing sensitive information.

Web Browser
Microsoft Edge is configured as the default browser. You can use Google Chrome or Mozilla Firefox
if you prefer, they can be installed without Administrator privileges but are not supported by BSC
IT. Edge must remain the default browser.
Phone number, display name, name changes
You can update your address and phone number via this website: https://selfprofilemanager
When entering your phone number, choose the Office phone and enter with country code.
Outlook has a display name setting which you can update your last name by contacting the eSolution
Center.
Mobile Devices
BSC offers the flexibility to have a corporate mobile device, or you can use your own device and install
company apps to it. Check out the Mobility SharePoint for more details.

How to setup Boston Scientific Email on your mobile phone
When in a BSC office, you can utilize the BSC-Guest network for Wi-Fi. To obtain the password for the
guest network check with your manager or contact the eSC

BSC uses Outlook for email, OneDrive for cloud storage, Team Sites for storing files

Email Signature
Email signatures should be considered as electronic business cards for BSC
employees and represent a Boston
Scientific employee’s business contact information for use by both internal and
external audiences.

Working Remotely
Office 365 allows you to work from anywhere with an internet connection, but some applications and
resources are only available when you are on the Corporate network. VPN allows you to connect to the
corporate network even when you are not at a BSC Office. To connect you will need a VPN token and
use the Pulse Secure application.

Conference Rooms
BSC has small, medium, large conference rooms as well as Town Hall meeting spaces. Each of the
meeting spaces can be reserved for your business need using Outlook. Check out the Audio Visual
