THE RATTLESNAKE AND THE OWL

Presentation 2

THE OWL AND THE RATTLE
SNAKE

BY: AHMAD AMZAR

Once upon a time, there were 2 types of animals that were good friends namely owl and rattlesnake.
they have been good friends since birth and so have their ancestors who had good relations with each
other despite being of different species. They like to walk together in the forest in search of food.On a
cold night, they feel hungry and decide to work together to find food found in the forest. anyone who
finds food first should tell and will share the food founded. Rattlesnake seek food on land while owl seek
food on air. the rattlesnake has a strong sense of smell so it is ideal for it to find food by land. Owl, on
the other hand, have a keen sense of sight even in dark environments. After a minutes of searching for
food, finally the rattlesnake had found a very large rat while the owl were still scouting up there looking
for food. The rattlesnake then attacked the large rat and killed it. Suddenly appeared in the heart of the
rattlesnake the nature of greed and decided not to tell the owl about the food. He wanted to eat the rat
alone. He began to think that whoever found the food first would then be his. The rattlesnake even slipped
into the bushes silently while carrying the carcass of the rat without the owl's knowledge.

The owl, who had not been able to find food since before, realized that his best friend the rattlesnake was no
longer visible on land. He wanted to check if his friend was in trouble or had found food. He flew lower and
landed on a tree. He looked around and still found no sign of his best friend's existence. He felt uneasy and went
to the house of the rattlesnake. He was shocked to see a patch of blood on the ground in front of the door of the
rattlesnake house. The owl stormed into the snake's house to see what was happening. He was shocked to see
his own best friend eating the big rat greedily without sharing it with him. The owl was very upset at the rattle's
betrayal of him because it had been difficult for them to travel together. The rattlesnake was still unaware of the
owl's presence because it was anxious to eat the large rat. He heard the sound of something breaking but just let
it go. Without him realizing it the owl quietly went behind the rattlesnake to kill him. The rattlesnake woke up as if
there was something behind it and quickly turned around. He was very surprised to see the face of a very cruel
owl. He then realize that the owl is about to kill him for not sharing the big rat. The owl fluttered its wings
towards the rattlesnake to injure it but the snake managed to dodge. The owl's anger increased then he flew as
he opened his claws to attack the snake. The snake as fast as lightning fled into a small hole found in his house
and escaped into the forest. The owl's wish could not be fulfilled so he vowed to hunt down every rattlesnake he
found and make it into his food. Since that day, rattlesnakes are often hunted by owls, especially at night for food.

“The worst pain in the world goes beyond the
physical. Even further beyond any other emotional
pain one can feel. It is the betrayal of a friend”
