Iron County Health The COVID 19 pandemic not only changed the
Department Baby population we serve, it made us rethink how we offered
Pantry services to the most vulnerable in our community. The
need for mobile food pantries, food and personal supply
Family Resource deliveries for seniors and the disabled increased
Centers of Missouri dramatically. In an effort to meet the need, FRCM now
offers Mobile Resources. Lack of transportation to get

Thorni Ridge

Family Adventure
Camp

FRC's Family Adventure Camp 2021, was full of fun,
excitement and ANIMALS! Families enjoyed
exploring nature, swimming, campfires and so much
more, at Rotary Youth Camp in Lee's Summit.
Thorni Ridge Exotic Petting Zoo dazzled us with
baby lemurs, snuggly kangaroos and alligators.
Campers had an opportunity to bottle feed baby
zebras, water buffalos and alpacas. Needless to say, a
everyone had a good time!

Self-Care Period FRCM | JULY 2021
Just For Teens

In Missouri, 1 out of 5 teens can not afford
feminine hygiene products. In more poverty
stricken areas, the number are even higher. 1
out of every 5 girls, have left school early or
missed a day of school due to lack of period
products.
Self- Care period provides free feminine
hygiene supplies to schools across Missouri to
help eliminate menstrual inequality in our
