From Branch Chairman’s Desk

Dear Students,

Greetings from Kalyan Dombivli Branch!

Kalyan Dombivli Branch of WIRC of ICAI, one of the youngest branch
of WIRC and mega branch of ICAI has completed its 5 years. The
branch caters to 12000+ students and approximately 4000 members. Its
really a vast geographical area to serve. I would appreciate the role of
founder MCMs and current MCM team who have given their best to
serve the students and the members in the best possible manner by developing various reading
rooms at Bhiwandi, Kalyan, Dombivli, ITT centres, Orientation Centre. Considering the
geographical area, we have made every single effort to decentralise the branch activities by
maintaining feasibility and serving the members and students at their doorstep. Even today we
receive great support from our Past MCMs, senior members, and with their mentoring, our team
is able to serve proactively. In the Calendar year 2019-20, our branch has organised 100+
programs for members and students, health check-up camp, blood donation camp, RRCs, MSME
Conclave inaugurated by CA Suresh Prabhu ji and attended by 1500+ members, Virtual Cultural
Program, Career Counselling Programs, one of the Career Counselling Program was attended by
the President , ICAI and attended by 1800+ students and various activities like Mission Kalam
and Rising Star Project. It is the time to pen down as Chairman of the Branch, but I assure I will
always be available for all of you, and heartfully thank the Past MCMs, senior members for your
guidance and mentoring, all the members and the students for your love and support
throughout the year. I offer special thanks to CA Murtuza Kachwala, my committee members
CA Saurabh Marathe, CA Mayur Jain, CA Jeetu Ramrakhiyani, CA Parag Prabhudesai, CA
Kaushik Gada, CA Kiran Gangwani, WICASA team, coordinators for all the events for your
active participation and always being available to serve the profession.

Heartiest Congratulations to everyone who cleared CA Final Exams and I extend my best wishes
to all the students who have appeared in the examination. I would acknowledge and appreciate
the efforts of WICASA team for organising elocution and quiz competition for students on
Republic day. Really the topics kept were current and very interesting; it was a treat to listen to
all the participants and all the presentations were up to the mark. I congratulate the winners and
would like to thank all the participants for their active participation.

Before signing off, would like to remember a quote
Ambition is about individual growth, Vision is about growth for all.

WICASA Chairman Ke Dil ki Baat….

My dear friends, Wishing you all a very Happy New Year 2021 with
lots of new hopes and blessings.

The year 2020 was a very important year for everyone. I am sure we all
learnt a lot which can be a place to start from and grow beyond our
imaginations.

Well looking forward and taking a cue from the past, it is very clear that we have to adopt to the
new normal way of working and the technology. At the same time, it is also clear that
Technology cannot replace Human being, but if a Human being does not adopt the Technology,
he will be extinct. I am sure all of you have learnt a major lesson of life and will take it in a
positive way.

One more thing, I wish to inform you all the students is the importance of savings and
investment. This is the right time for you to start saving and investing, some portion of your
earnings and do it for a longer period or to put it in a simple way till you are working, and see
the magic that Money does for you. The magic of compounding, works only in a long term. So, if
you wish to retire peacefully, start saving and investing. I know, looking from your age,
retirement is very far off, but it will already be late, if you start after 10 years from now. I made
this mistake, as I had no knowledge and there was no mentor or advisor who could guide me. I
do not want you to make the same mistake. I am on a mission to help the youngsters to educate
about financial literacy and guide them to achieve their financial goals, be it short term, medium
term and long term.

You all have witnessed the way Stock Market has moved during the lockdown and also
considering the measures declared in the Budget. This budget will have a long term impact and
has more thrust on the Rural and Atmanirbhar Bharat schemes. So, the next decade could be of
India, as you have heard the dialogue in Scam 1992- Invest in India.

The Results were declared few days ago and very good number of students cleared the CA
exams. I wish them a hearty congratulations to the newly qualified chartered accountants. It’s
not the end, the actual journey starts now. Wish you all the best for the future.

Our branch has completed 5 years and caters more than 12000 students. We would like to
congratulate each and every person associated with the branch for there constant support and
would like to thank students for actively participating in all the activites conducted by branch
and WICASA.
Congratulations to everyone who cleared CA Examinations. Last month we had Blood Donation
Camp and Quiz & Elocution competition. Congratulations to all the winners and thanks to each
and every participants for making our event successful.
