WHO WE ARE:

The Cancer Support Community of Greater Ann Arbor (CSC) is a
unique, grassroots organization that was founded locally by a group
of committed community volunteers who had each been
personally touched by cancer, and who understand that traditional
medical treatment is only one piece of successful cancer care.
Today, the CSC continues to provide services unavailable
elsewhere, all free of charge.

The CSC provides programs that have been shown to improve
physical health, mental health, and quality of life for all people
affected by cancer, including loved ones.

The Cancer Support Community is governed by a volunteer Board of
Directors. The CSC runs on the dedication of volunteers and
professionals consisting of experts in the field of oncology, integrative
medicine and finance who dedicate their time and passion to help us
deliver quality services.

THE THE AMAZING RACE

AMAZING The Amazing Race is a local road rally (scavenger hunt), where teams solve
RACE clues, hunt for locations and landmarks, and compete to be the first team to
complete the course. A post-race party includes refreshments, food, entertain-

THE BRIDES PROJECT

The Brides Project (TBP) is a social enterprise bridal shop run by the
Cancer Support Community. It is staffed by volunteers, and operates from
donated space. New and gently-worn gowns are donated to TBP and then
sold to brides. All TBP proceeds benefit the CSC.

Charity Beer Garden

Game days just got better with food trucks & craft drafts in the Charity Beer Garden benefiting the

Cancer Support Community of Greater Ann Arbor! The event will be held during every University of
Michigan home football game day at Stadium Club, Ann Arbor (327 East Hoover). The comfortable

garden atmosphere just 450 feet from the stadium features food trucks, local craft beers, and lawn
games.

3rd Annual Sprout Love Celebration

Sprout Love, a fundraising initiative of the Cancer Support Community (CSC), was created in memory of the
vibrant spirit and energy of Maureen McCurren. Maureen was a yoga instructor at the CSC and later utilized the
services offered at the center. Through her journey and her in depth understanding of the human spirit, she
recognized the importance of the type of support offered at the Cancer Support Community and was dedicated
to sustaining its mission. The initiative raises funds to support programs at the Cancer Support Community and
the development of a new Financial Assistance Fund for people who are experiencing financial hardship during
their cancer treatment. The Sprout Love Celebration features live music, food, and silent auction held at the
historic Ypsilanti Freighthouse on November 10, 2018. All funds raised will be divided between existing
programs and the financial assistance fund.
