House Rules

1. No smoking or vaping in any of the buildings on the property.

2. Sorry, no pets are allowed in any of the buildings on the property.

3. We’ve provided dishwasher soap / paper towels / napkins in the kitchen; toilet paper
in the bathroom, and laundry soap / dryer sheets for the clothes washer as a starter
pack. If you run out you will be responsible for replenishing what you need.

4. Be careful not to wash food remains down the drain. Please throw any kitchen
scraps into the trash can below the kitchen sink.

5. Please return any kitchen items back to where you originally found them.

6. Please do not flush anything down the toilet except toilet paper. We use a septic
tank and do not want to clog it with unnecessary items.

7. Please put all your trash in a garbage bag provided and tie the top. Take out to the
trash can by the shed behind the house. Be sure to secure the top of the trash can,
so any animals can’t get into it.

8. Unfortunately we do not have house garbage pick-up here. If you would like to
help us out you can always drop your bagged trash off at the transfer station. We like
to use the Rodeo Transfer Station. They are open Tuesday and Thursday from 8:00
am – 2:00 pm or Saturday from 8:00 am – noon. The transfer station is located on
Highway 80 South of Rodeo on your way to Douglas, AZ. It is on the left just before
the NM/AZ border and Stateline Road.

9. Please treat our house with the same respect as you would your own house.
We’ve put a lot of effort into making this into a cozy space to be enjoyed by our
guests.

10. Be sure to maintain a good level of cleanliness throughout your stay.

11. In case of any accidental damage, we’ll look into the issue to determine if and how
much of a repair cost will be charged to the guest.

We don’t use the Living room AC very often as
the Split unit in the bedroom along with running
the 2 ceiling fans will keep the house
comfortable. Feel free to use if you wish.

Fireplace Remote –
The top left red button is
the on/off button. The
remaining red buttons
control the height of the
flames. The blue buttons
control the heat.

Kitchen

Bedroom

AC/heat split unit – we always leave the split
unit on and just control the temperature. The
degrees shown on the unit are in Celsius and it
will only list the temps in Celsius.

Here is a conversion list for you:

Celsius Fahrenheit

18 65

21 70

23 75

26 80

29 85

Adjust the temps accordingly.

The Split unit will comfortably cool or heat the
entire house when running both ceiling fans
too.

Please note - the bedroom will be cooler or
warmer than any other place in the house. We
will cool or heat the house to the temp that we
like then will change the temp accordingly
about 2 hours before we go to bed.

Laundry / Bathroom When we dry clothes, we use the timed dry. Usually
40 minutes first, then another 30 minutes if needed.

Where can I find?

Closet – You will find hangers in the
closet to hang your clothes, wire
shelves to store your gear, and a
small laundry basket.
