This Event Has a Lotta Heart

The Seventh Annual Simon’s Soiree raised awareness and raised funds in conjunction with Simon’s Fund at the Sheraton Valley Forge in King of Prussia. Comcast
SportNet’s Michael Barkann served as host for the event, which raises awareness about warning signs and conditions that can lead to sudden cardiac arrest and death in
children. Simon’s Fund was established in 2005 by Darren and Phyllis Sudman following the death of their 3-month-old son, Simon, of Long QT Syndrome, a heart defect.
The fund has provided free heart screenings to over 12,000 students, diagnosing close to 100 children with the potentially fatal defect.
