400-Pound Stone Falls From Western Wall
A large stone fell from the Western Wall on July 23 — and was
removed for an archaeological examination, JTA reported.

The 400-pound stone fell to an egalitarian prayer plaza hours
after the Tisha B’Av fast. A woman praying on the platform
wasn’t injured.

The Western Wall Heritage Foundation will look to see what
caused the incident and prevent a recurrence. If deemed appro-

Mundhir Abdallah of the Masjid Al-Faruq mosque in
Copenhagen, who in March cited a Quran call in the Koran

under a new Danish hate speech law, according to JTA.

Abdallah was charged July 24 in Copenhagen District Court.
The hate speech law passed in 2017.

Cartoonist Avi Katz got fired for a parody of a selfie of Israeli

The cartoon appeared in The Jerusalem Report, a magazine
distributed by The Jerusalem Post. The Post told Haaretz that it
would no longer work with Katz, a freelancer.

The photo had been taken after Israel’s government passed
the nation-state law. That law says the right to exercise national
self-determination in Israel is unique to its Jews. l
