Barrack Scholars Are in a Class by Themselves

Twelve Jack M. Barrack Hebrew Academy seniors were recognized by The National Merit Corporation as part of
the 61st annual National Merit Scholarship Program — more than any other school in Montgomery County. These
students were named based on their outstanding promise and academic performance on the Preliminary
SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test (PSAT/NMSQT), which is taken by 1.5 million 11th-graders across
the country each year.

JFCS Champions Rights the Right Way

The Human Rights Campaign Foundation, the educational arm of the
nation’s largest lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender civil rights organi-
zation, announced that Jewish Family and Children’s Service of Greater
Philadelphia earned the foundation’s All Children-All Families seal of
recognition for its commitment to supporting and serving LGBTQ youth
and families. JFCS, the first Jewish agency to receive this seal, earned the
honor by meeting HRC’s criteria for fully inclusive policies and practices
in working with LGBTQ communities.
