COMMUNITY NEWS

The Jewish Federation of Greater Philadelphia
mobilizes financial and volunteer resources to
address the communities’ most critical priorities
locally, in Israel and around the world.

5-6-70 Israel!: The Ultimate
Birthday Party for Israel’s 70th

will find delight around every corner. Teens are sure to enjoy the special Israeli
environmental exhibit and an afternoon competing on the gaga courts.

The food demo stage will feature tastings of Israeli wines, olive oils, hummus and
salatim (salads). And, of course, it wouldn’t be a party without an array of kosher,
Israeli and vegetarian food available from multiple Greater Philadelphia vendors.

“This is our one day to celebrate our Jewish communities’ Israel connection,”
Lewis Klein said. “Come fill your eyes, ears and belly with Israel!”

5-6-70 Israel! is free and open to our communities. To avoid the lines,

SEDER FINDER: 27 Community Seders You’ll Love

ABOUT SEVEN IN 10 American Jews attend a Passover seder, according to a 2014 Pew Research Study, making the seder
the most popular Jewish ritual in America. And what’s not to love, with the retelling of a phenomenal story, an afikomen

hunt, four cups of wine, an invisible prophet who strolls into the house, all-you-can-eat matzah and more? But no one
should ask the Four Questions alone. Find a warm and welcoming community seder near you with our 2018 Greater
Philadelphia Community Seder Finder at jewishphilly.org/seders. Chag Sameach!
