Champawat, Uttarakhand

Confronting numerous challenges in the mountainous terrain of
Champawat district of Uttarakhand, VLE Madhu Singh has accomplished
the formidable task of imparting digital literacy to villagers.
Despite poor connectivity, VLE Madhu has trained 500 students for
PMGDISHA in village Simivan in the district.
She has built a wooden hall for students to study and give examinations at
her CSC. However due to poor Internet connectivity in her village, she had to
take her students to the hill top for better connectivity, where they were able
to give the exam.
