สาร นายเศรษฐา ทวีีสิิน นายกรััฐมนตรี ี เนื่่�องในพิิธีีมอบรางวััลอุุตสาหกรรม ประจำปีี พ.ศ. ๒๕๖๖ วัันที่่� ๑๒ กุุมภาพัันธ์์ ๒๕๖๗ ภาคอุุตสาหกรรมเป็็นกำลัังหลัักที่่�มีีบทบาทสำคััญต่่อการพััฒนาและขัับเคลื่่�อนระบบเศรษฐกิิจของประเทศ ให้้เจริิญก้้าวหน้้าซึ่่�งไม่่เพีียงแต่่การสร้้างรายได้้จากการส่่งออกสิินค้้าและผลิิตภััณฑ์์ไปจำหน่่ายยัังต่่างประเทศ แต่่ยัังก่่อ ให้้เกิดิการจ้้างงานและกระจายรายได้้ไปสู่แรงงานในภาค่อุุตสาหกรรม รััฐบาลมีีเป้้าหมายขัับเคลื่่�อนการพััฒนาเศรษฐกิิจใหม� ได้้แก่่ เศรษฐกิิจดิิจิิทััล อุุตสาหกรรมเทคโนโลยีีขั้้�นสููง อุุตสาหกรรมสีีเขีียว และอุุตสาหกรรมการป้้องกัันประเทศ เพื่่�อยกระดัับศัักยภาพอุุตสาหกรรมไทยให้้มีีขีีดความสามารถในการแข่่งขััน โดยสร้้างเสริิมองค์์ความรู้้ทางวิิทยาศาสตร์์ เทคโนโลยีีและดิิจิิทััล นวััตกรรมและความคิิดริิเริ่่�มสร้้างสรรค์์ซึ่่�งจะนำไปสู่่การเพิ่่�มผลิิตภาพและเพิ่่�มประสิิทธิิภาพของ ภาคอุุตสาหกรรม ให้้การขยายตัวัทางเศรษฐกิิจของประเทศเป็็นไปอย่่างสมดุุลและยั่่�งยืืน “รางวััลอุุตสาหกรรม” (The Prime Minister’s Industy Award) เป็็นรางวััลอัันทรงเกีียรติที่่ิ�มอบให้ผู้้ ้ ประกอบการ ภาคอุุตสาหกรรมที่่�มีีความคิิดริิเริ่่�ม ความวิิริิยอุุตสาหะและความมุ่่งมั่่�นในการสร้้างสรรค์์นวััตกรรมเทคโนโลยีีใหม่่ที่่�เป็็น ประโยชน์์ต่่อกระบวนการผลิิตและการบริิหารจััดการ มีีความรัับผิิดชอบต่่อสิ่่�งแวดล้้อม โดยเฉพาะในประเด็็นที่่�มีีผล ต่่อสัังคมโดยรวมซึ่่�งส่่งเสริิมและยกระดัับให้้ภาคอุุตสาหกรรมไทยมีีมาตรฐานสากล ผมขอชื่่�นชมผู้้ประกอบการทุุกคนที่่มุ่่�งมั่่�นตั้้�งใจขัับเคลื่่�อนภาคอุุตสาหกรรมไทยให้้เจริิญก้้าวหน้้า และขอแสดงความยิินดีี แก่่ผู้้ประกอบการภาคอุุตสาหกรรมทุุกท่่านที่่�ได้้รัับรางวััลที่่�น่่าภาคภููมิิใจ พร้้อมทั้้�งขออวยพรให้้ทุุกท่่านประสบแต่่ความสุุข ความเจริิญ มีีความสำเร็็จในสิ่่�งที่่�มุ่่งหวัังทุุกประการ (นายเศรษฐา ทวีีสิิน) นายกรััฐมนตรีี 4

Message from Mr. Srettha Thavisin the Prime Minister The industrial sector is a main driver that plays an important role in developing and driving the economic system of the country. Not only generating income from exporting goods and products for sale abroad, but the sector also creates employment and distributes income to workers in the industrial sector. The government aims to drive development of a new economy, namely the digital economy, high technology industry, green industry, and defense industry to raise capabilities of Thai industry for competitiveness by enhancing scientific knowledge, technology and digital, innovation and creativity, which will lead to increased productivity and efficiency in the industrial sector and create a balanced and sustainable economic expansion. “The Prime Minister’s Industy Award” is a prestigious award given to innovative industrial business operators who have perseverance and determination in creating innovative new technologies that are beneficial to the production and management processes. Such technologies also take into consideration responsibilities for the environment, especially in issues that affect the society as a whole, and promote and uplift the Thai industrial sector to international standards. I highly admire all business operators who are committed and determined to drive the Thai industrial sector forward and wish to congratulate all industrial business operators who have received the honorable awards. 7 Message from Pimphattra Wichaikul Minister of Industry The industrial sector plays an important role in driving the country’s economy. Since Thailand’s economic structure is highly dependent on exports and foreign investments, it is requisite for the industrial sector to develop and improve its capabilities to increase competitiveness and be at the equivalent level to other countries. The Ministry of Industry has operated in accordance with the government policy which aims at restructuring the country’s economy for continuous expansion through an urgent policy that can be implemented immediately (Quick wins), including the drive to make the industrial sector a new economic engine in stimulating the country’s gross national income through target industries which include automotive industry of the future, intelligent electronics industry, robotics and automation industry, biological industry, medical device industry, national defense industry, halal industry, and creative industry and investments through the economic corridors expanding into 4 regions of Thailand to build confidence and provide convenience for investors. Therefore, the development of capabilities of the industrial sector and improvement on the level of competitiveness to be on par with other countries is considered a mission with challenges that requires cooperation from all sectors, including public and private sectors, to strengthen the Thai industrial sector and be the main mechanism for stimulating the country’s economic system, along with taking into consideration growth and environmental friendliness for future sustainability. The “Industry Award” by the Ministry of Industry has been organized since 1993. It is not only an award of honor given to business operators that are committed to efficiently improving their management and meet standard criteria, but it is considered, in practice, to strengthen management and production under the strategy to drive the industry that is friendly to the society and environment and strengthen the fundamental economy to achieve the goal in developing the industrial sector and driving the Thai economic system for future sustainability. On behalf of the Ministry of Industry, I wish to express our gratitude to the Prime Minister for his honor in acting as the chairman at the 2023 industry award ceremony and would like to congratulate all recipients of the awards on this occasion. 9 The Ministry of Industry stands as the foremost advocate for the Thai industrial sector, heralding it as a burgeoning economic catalyst propelling gross income of the nation. Through the formulation of policies and the establishment of comprehensive guidelines, the Ministry is dedicated to fostering the multifaceted growth of the industrial landscape. This commitment extends beyond strengthening, encompassing the fortification of its foundations and the equitable distribution of income to communities, all aligned with the overarching vision of government policies. To accelerate industrial growth, the Ministry has created a framework of the “MIND” initiative, by employing Head and Heart towards “Four Dimensions of Success”. This transformative journey involves pivoting the industry on the S-curve, with a dedicated emphasis on manufacturing and new business models for people’s better livelihood and well-being. The first dimension is business success that entails adjusting the business to correspond the future world, including efficiency and cost competition. The second dimension prioritizes manufacturing without leaving effects on local surroundings. This aims to diminish conflicts, raise a sense of safety and confidence among the community. The third one focuses on the environment towards a green industry that helps to increase business opportunity and respond to the needs of Thailand and the world community. Lastly, the fourth dimension is to maintain the way of life, generate advantages and develop communities around the industry that underlines “Creating Jobs and Building Careers”. This intend s to concurrently leverage the industrial sector along with community for continual economic growth and sustainably elevate people’s lives quality in the country. Since 1993, the Ministry of Industry has consistently granted the prestigious “The Prime Minister’s Industry Awards” to honor industrial entrepreneurs with dedication. This award recognizes those who have demonstrated in developing operations and managing both product manufacturing and services. The accolade further commends those who adhere to international standards and the regulations set forth by the Ministry, whilst demonstrating a keen awareness of safety, energy and environmental conservation as well as innovation development. These esteemed industrial entrepreneurs exemplify not only a remarkable diligence in their business endeavors, but also a determination to align with the guidelines of the Ministry of Industry. This bases on the goals and embarks the idea of balanced and continuous development to prevent the risks from environmental fluctuations. This exemplary dedication not only merits admiration but also positions them as role models for other industrial entrepreneurs under the concept of “Industrial Economy that Grows Sustainably with the Community”. 12 รางวัลอุตสาหกรรม ประจำ ปี พ.ศ. ๒๕๖๖ กระทรวงอุุตสาหกรรม ได้้ดำเนิินการคััดเลืือกผู้้ประกอบการ เพื่่�อรัับ รางวััลอุุตสาหกรรม ประจำปีี พ.ศ. ๒๕๖๖ ซึ่่�งประกอบด้้วย รางวััลอุุตสาหกรรม ยอดเยี่่�ยม รางวััลอุุตสาหกรรมดีีเด่่น และรางวััลอุุตสาหกรรมขนาดกลาง และขนาดย่่อมดีีเด่่น โดยมีีวััตถุุประสงค์์เพื่่�อเป็็นกำลัังใจและแบบอย่่างแก่่ ผู้้ประกอบกิิจการอุุตสาหกรรมให้้มีีความคิิดริิเริ่่�มและมีีความอุุตสาหะวิิริิยะ ในการ สรรสร้้างสิ่่�งที่่�เป็็นประโยชน์์ต่่อการพััฒนาอุุตสาหกรรมของประเทศ ซึ่่�งผู้้ประกอบการสามารถนำเครื่่�องหมายเชิดชููิเกีียรติิไปใช้้ในกิิจการของตนได้้ โดยได้้รัับเกีียรติิจากนายกรััฐมนตรีี เป็็นผู้้มอบรางวััลในการประกาศเกีียรติคุิุณ ผู้้ประกอบการที่่�กระทรวงอุุตสาหกรรม 19 Synopsis of the Prime Minister’s Best Industry Award The Prime Minister’s Best Industry Award was initiated in the year 2003 with some distinct features out of the Prime Minister’s Best Industry Award. The award is available to any industrial sectors and to any size of business seeking to be recognized as the most outstanding in business operation. The candidates must at least attain three categories of the Prime Minister’s Best Industry Award starting from the year 1993 onwards and their operations need to be proved beneficial to society and economy of the country. The main objective of presenting the Prime Minister’s Best Industry Award is to honor outstanding enterprises that have succeeded in remarkable business achievements. The aim is to encourage its continuous improvement as role model for the others to follow. Selection of award winners is based on five main criteria as follows. 1. Management Capability Candidates must show how to maintain and improve their management capability as well as to be the role model or accepted as “best practice” for the other companies. 2. 25 • 1981 – 1992 the Ministry of Industry selected outstanding industrial enterprises for annual awards to be presented by the Minister of Industry on the anniversary of the Ministry of Industry Establishment – May 5. • 1993 In recognition of the increasingly significant role of the industrial sector in the development of the national socioeconomic system, the awards program was changed into a national event – the Prime Minister’s Industry Award. It was launched on November 29, 1993. The event was organized annually. • 1993 – 1998 The Prime Minister’s Industry Award was classified into four categories, namely productivity, environmental quality preservation, safety management, and quality management. • 1999 Additional category of award for small and medium industries management was added, in recognition of their vital contributions to Thailand’s economy. Such award was initiated with the aim to encourage entrepreneurs to put in place modern management that will reinforce their competitiveness in international markets. The economic crisis and intensifying competition in the global market prompted the relevant government agencies to cope with the situation through collaborative efforts in the same direction. The new era of cooperation began with the Ministry of Industry and the Ministry of Commerce jointly organized a presentation of the Prime Minister’s Award and the Prime Minister’s Export Award. A joint special award – the Best Industrial Management and Export Award – was also established to honor the enterprise with outstanding management in both production and export. A logo design competition for the industry awards was also organized. The Industry Awards were presented to 23 enterprises while 3 enterprises won the Industrial Management and Export Awards. • 2000 Due to different timing and some divergence in the selection process for the Industry Awards and the Export Awards, the event was co-organized without the presentation of the joint special awards • 2009 The Ministry of Industry foresaw the importance of industrial business flexibility and adaptability, especially in the current global economic crisis. The Ministry, therefore, intensively promoted and fostered industrial enterprises to encompass logistic and supply chain management in order to enchance their competence and competitiveness. The Industry Award Organizing Committee added a new category, namely “Logistics Management” for entrepreneurs who had an outstanding achievement on logistics and supply chain management. The award was honored to their innovation and effort in implementing and improving their business with excellent logistics and supply chain management. • 2018 “Potential Industry” and “Corporate Social Responsibility” were added as the latest 2 categories of the Prime Minister’s Industry Award “Potential Industry” for the driving of the industrial improvement by employing technology and innovation to increase manufacturing throughput. A subsidiary of Thai Eastern Group Holdings Public Company Limited, it was established on November 25, 2010, starting with the management of wastewater treatment systems and biogas production.
