Moving Forward

Carolina excellence in action is providing students with
the tools and resources they need to engage deeply in
co-curricular experiences, and make connections between
learning in and outside of the classroom. The moving parts
have come together and its time to focus on growth.

Moving Forward

In 2017-18 our goals include:

- increasing student engagement with CEIA
- increasing staff engagement with Heel Life
- launching the Carolina Excellence App
- mapping and including Student Org events as part of CEIA
- evaluating & streamlining structure/processes where appropriate

Action Steps...

Staff who implement programs and learning opportunities:

1. Map your program or learning opportunity to a maximum of 3
CEIA competencies.

2. Write measurable learning outcomes based on the CEIA
competency or competencies the program maps to.

3. Identify a method for assessing your learning outcomes.
4. Consult with your Director or person who coordinates or leads

assessment planning in your department to establish a timeline
for when the program or programs you implement should be
assessed. Remember, not every program needs to be assessed
every year.
