G.R.A.P.E.S History of
Me
Geography: A Time I Went to Mexico
One day, I visited Tijuana Mexico. It was so beautiful. I went with my brother, mom, dad, and grandpa. The only
thing I did not like was the smell of urine on the streets. It smelled like urine because there are many homeless
and poor people in that city. I also did not not like the long line to cross the border back to the United States. The
wait was nearly 7 hours. So back to what I did in Tijuana. Me and my family went to the doctor, from there we
ate breakfast, and finally we went to the outside market where they sell cheese that has been aged. We usually
buy 5-8 pounds of cheese. I also took a picture with the donkey that the workers have on the sidewalk. That was
basically my trip to Tijuana.
Religion: Christmas Mass
One religious holiday that I celebrate with my family every year is Christmass. We usually spend this morning at
church during this religious holiday. You walk into the church to soft yellow lighting. You take a look behind the
altar and see decorated Christmas trees and a baby Jesus in the manger surrounded by animal statues and the
Virgin Mary along with St. Joseph. You’ll stay there for about 75 minutes. The mass starts with a call to prayer,
the reading of the passages, and then you’ll receive holy communion in which you will eat a wafer who
represents our Lord Jesus. Finally you will receive a final blessing from the priest which he says over the whole
congregation and then you’ll be dismissed to go home.
Accomplishments: When I got my Phone
One of the biggest achievements in my life was getting my first phone. When I was younger my father didn’t want me
to own any technology because he believed I would become lazy and not do my work. So I worked hard in getting my
grades to a point where even if I got lazy I would still earn good grades. After pestering my dad many times about
getting a phone he finally gave in and got my iPhone. This was a big accomplishment for me and it was a huge
milestone in my life. This changed my life for the better because the phone gave me access to the internet, which helps
me in completing my school work. It also allows me to be in contact with my parents in case of an emergency. As well,
it keeps me informed of the current events that are around my community.
Politics: Moms Rules
While living at my house my rules are very relaxed from day to day. I wake up every morning and all the rules I have to
worry about is getting ready for school. I start by preparing my face and body, then I get dressed and get in the car to
go to school. Once I get dropped off at school I have another set of rules from my home, “do well and don’t get in
trouble.” Then my school day ends and I get home to more rules. “Do your homework and do your chores before you
have your fun time.” As long as I follow these set of rules there are no consequences, but once I break them I have to
face a consequence. The big punishment every time is I lose my phone. How long depends all on how badly I broke the
rules. Sometimes it can be a day, sometimes a week. Over the years, my rules haven’t really changed. I still have the
same bedtime and the same routine. The only thing that has changed is my list of responsibilities.
Economics: Being a Chef in The Future
Most kids in the United States have chores that they do throughout the week. When I wake up on Saturdays, my day
begins with a list of chores texted to me by my mother before she takes off to work. I spend the day, washing my two
dogs, throwing out the trash, and doing my laundry. When I grow up I want to have enough money to pay people to do
these chores for me. In order to do that I must complete my dream and become a chef. I have to go to culinary school
and study skills I have not yet developed. Cooking is my passion, it gives me the opportunity to express myself on a
plate. By becoming a chef I will set my own schedule for work in my restaurant. I will also be able to have enough
money to pay people to do my chores for me.
Social System: My Family, Baby
In my family, there are 4 people. My mom, dad, brother, and I. My brother's name is Alexander. First let's talk about my
mom, she is 36 years old and works in airplane parts. Secondly, my dad, he is 46 years old. Him and my mom are from
the same ranch and when my mom was a baby, my dad held her. He works in gardening. Finally, my brother, he is 20
years old and has his own family. He has a daughter of 8 months. When we all have free time, we like to rent a water
slide or go eat at a restaurant. That is what my family does. We also like to go to the stores after eating.
