Dear honourable strategic and international partners, distinguished guests, educators, parents, students, and ladies and gentlemen. MIICA is truly honoured to announce its 2nd I3C- International Innovation and Invention Competition 2023. With the grace of God, we meet again for I3C2023. Since MIICA’s establishment in early 2019, it has succeeded in bringing together many young minds from around the globe to be involved in science, technology and engineering. MIICA has also been successfully involved in many STEM and creative activities that have paved the way for thousands of local and international students to showcase their talents. PRESIDENT'S SPEECH As we all know, MIICA’s vision is to be the leading association in Malaysia that promotes education in scientific knowledge, technological advancement and innovative projects via experiments, both locally and internationally. We now embark on this international event that not only aims to encourage students but also educators of the world to be involved in innovation and invention. I strongly believe that through I3C, we have indeed created a platform to disseminate and exchange innovations across the globe. This achievement is in line with our mission to lead and provide scientific education, mathematical solution and technical advancement as well as to keep up to date with the revolution of STEM studies in the 21st century. Dear fellow innovators, inventors, and participants, I am honoured to serve as the National Coordinator for the 2nd International Invention and Innovation Competition. This competition is a platform for individuals and teams from around the world to showcase their innovative ideas, inventions, and technological advancements. The goal of this competition is to encourage creativity, innovation, and technological development, and to foster a community of like-minded individuals who are dedicated to improving the world through their ideas and inventions. Over the past year, we have seen a surge in innovative ideas and inventions, as people have been forced to adapt to a rapidly changing world. The COVID-19 pandemic has challenged us in ways that we could not have imagined, but it has also shown us the power of human ingenuity and the ability of people to come together to solve complex problems. This competition is an opportunity for us to celebrate the achievements of innovators and inventors, and to recognize the hard work and dedication that goes into creating something truly innovative. A warm welcome to the International Innovation and Invention Competition (I3C) 2023 organised by the Malaysian Innovation, Invention and Creativity Association (MIICA). It gives us great joy in bringing great talents with a common interest in invention and innovation under one roof for the second time after a successful virtual competition in 2021. As part of MIICA’s vision, we are here to recognise the great talents of students and educators worldwide to demonstrate their invention and innovation projects. It is impressive and proud to see how these young scientists explore their thought processes, experimenting with their hypotheses and bringing their sustainable ideas into reality. With the participation of more than 150 teams from Malaysia, Iran, Indonesia, Philippines, Kazakhstan, Brazil, Romania, Turkey, India and Vietnam, we at MIICA believe that the 2nd International Innovation and Invention Competition (I3C) is a great platform to inspire young scientists. MIICA will continue its effort to nurture students’ interest from a young age towards invention and innovation.
