Although the boys tried their
best unfortunately they didn't
win any of their games but their
determination and team spirit
prevailed.

On
the 13th,14th and
15th of March the eccentric year
8 classes travelled all the way to the
alluring black sanded beach called Muriwai.
During their time there they were able learn more about beach
safety as well as the dangers on the beach and what to look out
for. Even though the weather wasn't perfect they were still free to
have as much fun as they wanted in the ice-cold water learning
how to dive, wade and rescue people. To end all three days off
with a bang they reviewed the safety rules before leaving for
a long one hour drive back to their very own, state
of the art, Waikowhai Intermediate.
