The 2020 Northcote College Athletics
Day in February was, as always, a
highlight of the school calendar.
Students competed in a range of track
and field events – and the day featured
a mix of serious competition and a
wonderful number of students taking part
in less familiar sports.

Enthusiastic sideline support and an
array of costumes added to the energy
and flavour of the day.

Nikki Gear not only took the mantle
of Junior Girls Athletics Champion – but
broke two school records during the day.
She set a new long jump record of 4.9m –
beating the previous 4.77m record set in
1968! Nikki also set a new discus record
of 28.52m – besting the 24.27m record
of 2000.

Congratulations to all the 2020
