CERTIFICATE IN CONTEMPORARY NZ NURSING PRACTICE (COMPETENCE ASSESSMENT PROGRAMME)

If you are hoping to work as a registered nurse in New Zealand, this competency-based Level 7
integrated theory practice programme has been designed to enable overseas registered nurses Length 6 weeks
to attain Nursing Council of New Zealand Registration. The knowledge and skills of registered Start date January, May, June, October
nurses will be updated across the scope of New Zealand nursing practice. Competency will be Fee $7,000
assessed against the Nursing Council of New Zealand Registered Nurse Scope of Practice and Campus Napier
prescribed competencies. IELTS 7.0
Entry requirements: IELTS 7.0 (academic) in all bands, in one exam sitting, or Occupational

BACHELOR OF NURSING Level 7
Length
This degree will enable you to enter practice as a registered nurse with a sound knowledge base Start date 3 years
of nursing theory, social sciences, biological sciences, research and professional practice skills.

POSTGRADUATE DIPLOMA IN HEALTH SCIENCE / MASTER OF HEALTH SCIENCE

The Postgraduate Diploma in Health Science is an interdisciplinary programme that provides Level 8&9
the opportunity for qualified health professionals and health service managers to develop Length
advanced practice knowledge and critical analysis skills. Students in this programme can Start date 1 year (PG Dip)
specialise in the Global Health endorsement which focuses on health in the international context. 1.5 years (Masters)
The Master of Health Science provides the opportunity for health practitioners/health Fee
managers to advance and expand their expertise within an interdisciplinary learning environment. Campus Napier:
Students will develop skills of critical analysis, advanced practice and research within their Delivery 19 February, 23 July
