New Zealand is the least corrupt and the second safest country in the world
The 2017 Global Peace Index, which compares 162 countries for the risk of personal violence, rates New Zealand as the world’s second safest country just after Iceland. Transparency International’s 2017 Corruption Perception Index ranks it the least corrupt country in the world, equal with Denmark.
All the universities rank in the world’s top 3%. In 2015/16, 4 of New Zealand’s universities were in the top 300 QS World Ranking, with 2 in the top 200. They lead through academic excellence and personalized learning.
New Zealand is a land of immigrants. Even its native inhabitants, the Maori, have only been here 800 years. Most of the population is of European descent, but there are a lot of Asian and Pacific Island people.
BREATHTAKING NATURAL BEAUTY
New Zealand is the most beautiful country
in the world. There are rainforests, glaciers, mountains, deserts, volcanoes, white, black and golden sand beaches, lakes, rivers, plains, fiords, mud pools, geysers, hot springs.
New Zealand is around the same size as United Kingdom & Japan and 6 times larger than Netherlands
KIND & FRIENDLY PEOPLE
It’s got a lot to do with the fact that New Zealanders simply aren’t snobs and have a relaxed attitude towards life in general.
New Zealand’s climate is a temperate one. It rarely gets too cold or too hot, and it definitely has more sunshine than rain. Winters are mild in the North Island, but in the South Island they can bring snow.
FOOD FROM AROUND THE WORLD
New Zealand has world-class seafood, lamb, wines and cheeses. There’s plenty of delicious Asian food around, as well as the best of European food presented in a range of fresh, Kiwi styles.
