Professionally, Tina is a school counselor and has spent 22 years in education. She enjoys her role now
with her elementary students and has spent the majority of her career as a high school counselor. She
loves to read books to students using bibliotherapy to help children solve their issues. One thing she
does not like about her job: lunch duty. She has four degrees and holds a doctorate in Counseling
Psychology. She is also a licensed professional counselor, has private practice, has taught at the
collegiate level, and continues to contract with DFCS to provide family home assessments to

Meet Becky Bolden
Junior Director

I began my federated journey when I joined the Monroe Junior
Woman’s Club in December 2010. I was searching for a way to give
back to my community and to meet new people. I remember when
I received my invitation in the mail and the excitement I felt when
asked to a meeting. I am so glad that I decided to join. I have made
friends in my community, across the state of Georgia and the US, as
well as participate in 100’s of projects. My encouragement to
members is “Everyone Invite One”. Imagine what a difference we
can make in our organization.

My husband, Steve, has been my rock for over 31 years. He
supports me endlessly, and I am so blessed to have him as my life
partner. We have lived in Monroe for 18 years, and lived in
Lawrenceville prior to that. We have three children, Crystal, Matt
and Miranda. We have one son in law, Jason; one daughter in law,
Ashley; and my second son in law (joining the family in November),
Taylor. I have three grandsons, Andrew, Nathan and Aiden, which
call me Mimi. I was blessed with Godly parents who taught my
sisters and I to love and respect others. Family is extremely
important to me.

My occupation is controller for W.A. Kendall and Company in
Lawrenceville Georgia. I have worked in this position for 16 years
and worked in public accounting prior to this position as a
CPA/Manager. You might say that I love numbers.

Some of my favorite hobbies are photography, working in the yard, camping, traveling “It’s What You Do for
and volunteering (of course). Steve and I traveled to Alaska in 2016 and it was Others That Counts.”
probably one of the best trips that we have ever experienced. The beauty was breath-
taking and our time together was priceless. My dream trip is Switzerland and hope to
make it there in the very near future.

One thing I do each year is walk/jog the Peachtree Road Race. This is a personal goal
for me after I went through a very difficult time with knee surgery. I find inspiration
each year getting that t-shirt regardless of how long it takes me to get to the end.

My favorite season of the year is Christmas. I love celebrating the birth of Christ as
well as the happiness that it brings to children. I have lots of fond memories of
Christmas even though there weren’t always lots of gifts as it is once again about
Family time. When traveling, I always look for the Christmas town or shop.

We all have club projects that touch our hearts. I have several that I look forward to
each year. One is the preparation of personalized Easter baskets for each child in
foster care in Walton County. It is always heartwarming to learn of children who
carried these baskets from home to home as their only personalized item. The Day of
Service was very special to me this year. Our community lost a young lady just a week
before the event as a result of a domestic violence dispute. It was so moving to have a
community come together to help other women in this same situation through the
donation of items and gift cards to our local shelters. As club women, it is important to
realize that each of us can make a difference in someone’s life. It is What you Do for
Others That Counts!

I am truly blessed to be serving as the 2018-2020 GFWC Georgia Director of Junior
Clubs. I know that the Lord has opened this door for me and I will do my best to make
a difference in our organization and in the lives of women. I love to laugh and have
