นิทานเล่มน้ีเป็นส่วนหน่ึงของรายวชิ า ภาษาและ
วฒั นธรรมสาหรับครูในศตวรรษที่21 จดั ทาข้ึนเพ่ือให้
ผอู้ ่านไดร้ ู้ถึงประวตั ิความเป็นมาของถ้าตาหมวกจงั หวดั
ประจวบฯ และไดร้ ู้ถึงวฒั นธรรมท่ีอยใู่ นนิทานเล่มน้ี
หากมีขอ้ ผดิ พลาดประการใด ทางคณะผจู้ ดั ทาตอ้ งขอ
อภยั มา ณ ท่ีน้ี

เมื่ออดีตกาลนานมาแลว้ ณ ทอ้ งที่ตาบล
ร่อนทองอาเภอบางสะพานจงั หวดั
ประจวบคีรีขนั ธน์ ้ีมีววั ทองคาตวั หน่ึงอาศยั
อยใู่ นถ้า ถ้าน้ีปกติจะปิ ดอยเู่ สมอจะเปิ ดก็
เฉพาะวนั ดีคืนดีท่ีววั ทองคาตวั น้ีจะออกจาก
ถ้าเท่าน้นั

Once upon a time at Ron Thong sub-
district , Bang Saphan District,
Prachuap Khiri Khan . There lived a
golden bull in a cave. This cave will
only open on the day that this golden
bull will leave the cave.

ววั ตวั น้ีจะออกจากถ้าและถ่ายมูล
ซ่ึงเป็นทองคาไวท้ ว่ั ไปมูลของววั
ตวั น้ีเป็นกาเนิดของทองบาง
สะพานเม่ือถา่ ยมูลไวม้ ากพอแลว้
ววั ศกั ด์ิสิทธ์ิตวั น้ีจะหายไป

As this cow leaves the cave It will
defecate the feces of gold. This
cow's feces is the birth of
Bangsaphan gold. When defecate
the feces enough has been taken,
the sacred cow will disappear.

หลายปี ตอ่ มามีผมู้ ีวชิ าอาคมเวทมนต์
คาถาใชเ้ ทียนวเิ ศษเรียกวา่ "เทียน
ระเบิดหรือเทียนสวา่ นสามารถทาใหถ้ ้า
น้ีระเบิดไดแ้ สงเทียนน้ีทาใหป้ ากถ้าเปิ ด
เขาจึงนาเทียนเขา้ ไปปักไวใ้ นถ้าและ
ขนทองออกไปไดม้ ากมาย
Many years later, there was a

น้นั ไดส้ วนทางกบั ”ตาหมวก”ตา
หมวกเอย่ ปากขอทองจากผวู้ ิเศษ
แตผ่ วู้ เิ ศษ เเนะนาวา่ ไปเอาในถ้าสิ่
เพราะเทียนยงั สวา่ งอยถู่ ้ายงั ไม่ปิ ด

While the magician was
carrying the gold , “Ta Muak”
walked past the magician and he
ask for gold from a magician but
the magician suggested that you
go to the cave because the candle
is still bright.

ทนั ใดน้นั เอง ตาหมวกกต็ าลี
ตาเหลือกควา้ กะลามะพร้าว ริม
ทางเขา้ ไปในถ้าโกยทองไดส้ อง
กะลาจากน้นั ตาหมวกกร็ ีบเดินทาง
กลบั

After hearing that , he hurriedly to
took the coconut shell at along the
way into the cave. He scooped the
golden put in the two coconut
shells, then he hurriedly went
back.

ระหวา่ งทางตาหมวกไดส้ ่วนทางกบั เพ่ือน
บา้ นคนหน่ึงเพื่อนบา้ นเอ่ยปากขอ ตาหนวกก็
บอกวา่ ไปเอาเองสิ่ ถ้ายงั เปิ ดอยนู่ ้ีเพื่อนบา้ นก็
บอกวา่ เองเอาทองมาแลกกบั กระบุง ขา้ ดีกวา่
เองจะไดท้ องมากๆ ตาหมวกกเ็ ห็นจริงเพราะ
เชื่อวา่ เทียนยงั สวา่ งอยอู่ ีกนานจึงเอาทองแลก

กบั กระบุงแลว้ รีบกลบั ไปที่ถ้าทนั ที
While on the way back He met a neighbor.
A neighbor asked for gold from him, So he
was told him to take the gold from the cave.
But the neighbors asked to exchange gold
with his basket because if the candle is still
bright Ta Muak will be able to go to the took
of more gold. Ta Muak heard, so they
agreed. Exchange their gold for a basket
And immediately returned to the cave.

ตาหมวกโกยทองใส่กระบุง
เพลินจนเทียนศกั ด์ิสักลามไหม้
ไสเ้ ทียนจนดบั มอดลงทนั ใดน้นั
ปากถ้ากป็ ิ ดสนิททนั ทีเป็นเหตุ
ให้ ตาหมวกถูกขงั อยใู่ นถ้า
ออกมาไม่ได้

Ta Muak grabbed the gold until
they didn't notice that the
candles had completely gone
out. Suddenly, the mouth of the

ตาหมวกหมดหนทางจึง
พยายามใชม้ ือของตนเองขดุ
ปากถ้าจนปากถ้าเป็ นช่องพอ
เมืองรอดออกมาไดเ้ ท่าน้นั ไม่
สามารถท่ีจะ เอาตวั เองออกมา
ได้

Ta Muak tried to dig through
the soil until the size of the

the cave.

จนยายฉิมผเู้ ป็นภรรยาของตาหมวก
ผดิ สังเกตวา่ ทาไมสามีของตน
ออกไปหาของป่ านานนกั ยายฉิมจึง
ออกตามาหาตาหมวก ตะโกนเรียก
หาตาหมวกอยใู่ นป่ าเป็นเวลานานตา
หมวกไดย้ นิ เสียภรรยาของตนจึงร้อง
เรียกขอความช่วยเหลือทนั ที
Chim, Ta Muak wife, wondered

ยายฉิมไดย้ นิ เสียงเรียกของตา
หมวกจึงเดินตามเสียงเรียกน้นั ก็
พบสามีของตน แต่ไม่สามารถ
ช่วยเหลืออะไรไดเ้ ลยไดเ้ พียงแต่
ส่งอาหารใหต้ าหมวกไดป้ ระทงั
ชีวิตเพียงเท่าน้นั

Chim heard her husband's voice
and hurried to help. But can't
do anything Apart from waiting
to deliver food to sustain for his
life.

ตาหมวกไดอ้ าศยั ช่องเลก็ ๆ เอ้ือมมือ
รับอาหาร และพดู คุยกบั ภรรยาจน
ตราบเท่าชีวติ จนในท่ีสุดตาหมวกก็
สิ้นลมหายใจยายฉิมเห็นสามีของตน
ตายไปยายฉิมรู้สึกเสียใจท่ีไม่สามารถ
ช่วยตาหมวกใหอ้ อกจากถ้าไดจ้ ึงทา
ใหย้ ายฉิมตรอมใจตายตามตาหมวก
ไปในท่ีสุด
Ta Muak could only got for food
And talk to his beloved wife, Chim
Not long ago, Ta Muak passed away.
Chim, seeing Ta Muak death, she
regret and in the end she die.

ถ้าน้ีจึงไดช้ ื่อวา่ ”ถ้าตาหมวก”ยงั ปรากฎหลกั ฐาน
มีช่องโหวห่ นา้ ถ้าอยปู่ ัจจุบนั ถ้าตาหมวกถือเป็นถ้า
ศกั ด์ิสิทธ์ิในหมู่ของนกั ขดุ ทอง ทุกคร้ังท่ีมีการขดุ
ทองจะตอ้ งบนบานศาลกล่าวถ้าตาหมวกเพ่อื ให้
เกิดโชคลาภในการขดุ ทอง กล่าวกนั วา่ ตาหมวก
ท่านโปรดของสงั เวยประหลาดๆโดยเฉพาะห่าง
หมูท่านใดบนดว้ ยห่างหมู มกั ไดผ้ ลสมปราถนา
และเชื่อกนั วา่ ถา้ บา้ นเมืองเดือดร้อน จะมีทองก็
ปรากฎข้ึนมาเพ่อื ช่วยบาบดั ทุกขแ์ ก่ชาวบา้ นบาง
สะพานเมื่อสงครามโลกคร้ังที่ 2 หรือน้าทว่ั ทว้ ม
ใหญห่ นา้ ดินจะเปิ ด จะมีผนู้ าห่างหมูไปถวายถ้าตา
หมวก จะไดล้ าภสมั ฤทธ์ิผลขดุ ทองได้ 3-5บาทกม็ ี
เทจ็ จริงอยา่ งไร ถ้าตาหมวกกย็ งั ไดร้ ับจากลูกชา้ ง
ผแู้ สวงโชคมาขดุ ทองบางสะพานอยจู่ น ณ บดั น้ี
