turns out, metric was perfect for me, as I always
hated loading metric shanks into the collets I had.
So having these frees up my imperial collets for their
applications, and I have the perfect sizes for the
various metric tools. Should be noted that their max
sizes are actually in mm though. The sizing chart does
this so perhaps this isn’t a common mistake.

I usually run form taps, as we deal with softer steels and
aluminum, but for anything tougher than that, we’d usually
threadmill, just to avoid the cost of taps and the risk of breakage.
The TiCN coating on these seems to help a great deal with wear.
Between the added lifespan over uncoated tools and the cost
benefit of buying quality tools from Haas, getting a bunch of
larger cut taps in spiral point and spiral flute was a no-brainer.
