Thats Life

the craziest fish i have
ever seen
My family and me go fish a lot we usually go fishing at redondo pier or on hitler beach and some
times at lakes and rivers. Though the place that I saw this monster of a fish was at a river a river called
kern river.THis happened in the summer and they were having a drought so we couldn't go to the lake.
Although it was fine we still had the river. My daad doesn't drink so he needs something to do when
everyone else is drinking so he fishes and sometimes I join him. Although fun we haven't caught
anything for two days and it was starting to get to us.So we asked around where was the best spot to fish
we got a couple different answers but most were saying to go up stream. As we were walking through the
river to get a better spot we seen a girl with a princess pole fishing and thought nothing of it. Then maybe
when we were ten feet from her she gets a bite and it a big fish because it's pulling her in the water. So
her mom grabs her and tells her not to stop reeling it in. The little girl gets it like a three feet away and
her dad manages to grab it and as he pulls it up you could see a pink fish that was like two and a half feet
long. Then the fish doesn't want to die it unhooks itself and flops around and get free back into the water.
Just being there brought two emotions one anger and sadness I was sad because it had gotten away and
angre that I didn't get it or her. Also by seeing that fish I wanted to cea even better fish Thought I still
ought one of my best fish later that day thought it was about half the size of that monster fish that was
caught by a prince fishing rod.
This is a guess on what kind of fish it was the picture is of a horny salmon.
The big tournament
My grandpa love basketball so he became a coach for my three cousins then my brother then me
and I think i'm the worst out of all of them. Thought one year me and two others on my team we were
doing pretty good. So we got to go in a tournament but we had to go to a different team and that team
was our rivals. My team was always behind them by a couple ponts so many times that year. One time
that happened when we had only six people and one was sick so real five players. Thought they were a
great team I wish I was with my team. I had only two weeks to practice before the tournament and my
two old friends didn't even show up the entire time. On the day of the tournament I think we had thirteen
games on one day. They let all teams play twelve matches and the two teams with the most points went
up against each other. Then somehow magically we got to play the last game to see who would be first
place. They also kept the score from usso it would be more of a surprise. At the end of the game we all
lined up near the reefs and then they Announced who had won.The winner was the other team did she
kinda like 5 minutes and got a big trophy but it was okay cuz we still got second place and you got some
copper metals. Although it sucked that we lost it wasstill ok that we had second place. I still have the
metal from the tournament.
The abyss of darkness
My family loves going to new place and usually they can be scary for me at least. One of thoughs
times was when we went to the grand canyon and i mad the masta of looking down of the railing and that
scared me for awhile. But the scariest time was the most recent time we had gone out. The place we went
was a cave that was 150 feet deep which is pretty scary in it self. So we had to descend the cave by spiral
stairs that was made in the 60s from a plane. Also it had small steps and there were small bars that
enclosed the stairs so you could look at the cave which is cool if you're not terrified from hits and old
stairs that could fall. Also there are thoughed year old stalagmites and saligtiets they were pretty cool to
see. After a little bit of taking the tour guides said that they would be turning the lights of and to not
make any noise. By hearing that I got scared and started to prepare myself. I would like to clarify some
im not scared of the dark but my mind tends to wander and makes me scared of things that could be in
the dark. So back to the story they turned of the lights and it was pitch black You couldn't see anything
and quiet you could hear your own heartbeat through is no noise is happening and I didn't know what to
think about. They only had one light off for about 5 minutes.then turned on the lights and you could sty
for a little or go up we went back up the staircase and then left.
P.G.I week
My dad loves to fish but he loves fireworks more a lot more.So much more that he found a
convention that last for one week that teaches you how to make fireworks. Then on the last week of
summer vacation we boarded a plane for LA to North Dakota were it was helded. Once we had landed
we had to rush to get there to sign up for the classes we had barely made it in time. Me and my brother
signed up for junior pyrotechnics and we couldn't sign up for anything else because it took up most of
our time. Also every night they had an amazing shows that companies would put on for us. The next day
we had to set up table and some fireworks for younger kids after that i got to see my dad make a 4 inch
ball that was super cool to see. The next two days me and my brother had to set up a show for the
convention. Then it was the last day and we had nothing to do but wait for the show the and when we got
there show was great they fire balls huge shows and 10,000 firecrackers.Although we wish we could
have stayed longer we had to leave to be on time for school
