The word ‘guru’ where ‘gu’ means darkness and ‘ru’ means light gives a vivid
description that guru refers to teacher. The bond between a student and a
teacher is always a divine one.
On turning the pages of our glorious Indian history, one can visualize this
transcendent bonding. At that time the guru-shishya relationship was
considered to be a bond of respect, dedication ,commitment etc. History has a
plethora of such wonderful examples where this student and teacher bonding
is just beyond explanation, like Guru Dronacharya and Arjun. This teaching-
learning phenomenon is always beyond any prescribed syllabus. A teacher
imparts the knowledge to the students through the experience he/she has
gained over the years.
Even today this bond is a divine one. A teacher is the one who teaches a
student that a pen can achieve a lot more than a sword. Just as lighthouse
guides and directs the ships in correct path, teachers also guide a student to be
a successful person in life.
Teachers are the blessings of God in the life of students. This bond
encompassed with care, knowledge, respect, dedication, guidance is a sacred
one.
“A teacher can inspire hope, ignite the imagination and instill a love of
learning”.
TEACHER – STUDENT BOND IS THE BOND THAT MULTIPLIES KNOWLEDGE,
SUBTRACTS FEAR, DIVIDES CARE AND ADDS HAPPINESS .
“I can never really mention how overwhelmed I was while making this project. To me, it is nothing
less than a golden opportunity.”
-------Shreyasi Pal
“If I ever happened to do anything virtuous, then it is all because I have been
under my teachers’ guidance.”
-------Ritika Sarkar
“I have learnt from my teacher to be limitless !”

“My teachers have taught me to be diligent first, and confident next .”

One must learn how a teacher is not simply a
professional. They are our friends, philosopher, and a
guide who instills confidence in young minds, gives them
direction and encourages them to dream, who prepare us
for the real world, who want nothing but to see us happy,
successful and unbeaten. And when we face hardships, a
true teacher is always there to get us up and going. That
teacher can be a close friend, can be our parents, maybe a
doting uncle, or a wise grandparent. The fortunate ones
make the closest friend out of a classroom teacher. And
that's a special bond between a teacher and a pupil that
has no specific definition, but is a precious gem that must
be treasured forever.
“To be honest, there can be no profession as noble as teaching, I feel. It is a gratitude to my
teachers.”
-------Anshuman Garnayak
“I am, from my heart’s core, grateful to my
teachers for guiding me so far, even in this
pandemic.”
--------Laxmipriya Sahoo
Why do we need Teachers?
Do we need them to teach us
Or enlighten us
With our own experiences
What’s good and what’s wrong for us
In the ocean of knowledge
Where we sail a boat with them
But also learn to sail it ourselves
They are the torch-bearers
Who show us light in the pathway of darkness
Nine Tenth of education is encouragement. Without it there is
no future. To provide encouragment , we have certain people in
our life ,“Teachers”. They teach us wisdom, help us discover our
talents and most importanat of all they teach us the basics of life.
A Teacher is not all about studies. A teacher is a complete set of
things that we students or children require. A good teacher is not
the one who knows many things but the one who knows how to
teach , interact , create . Though they do not now how to carve
furniture but they carve beautiful statues out of rocks .”A master
at something was once a beginner” is a quote they use to help us
reach the top. Sometimes we get irritated by the subjects and
start thinking how this will help us but at the end of the day we
realise that our teacher teaches us these things because they have
been through the same phase as us. Other than that they are
our second parents too, with whom we can share everything
even the things that we cannot tell our parents.
Wishing all the teachers a very happy teachers day.
“My teachers have taught me to be the best.”
------Shiv Shankar Tripathy
“I am always grateful to my teachers.”
-----Aradhana Satapathy
“I wanted to do something different, something that would make my teachers happy. And
my verses are an endless flow of my sentiments.”

Teachers make a beautiful statue from an unshaped stone. Teachers
are more important in our life just like our parents. They teach us
the wisdom in everything. They give moral support and encourages us
to live equally in this society and treat everyone equally. They teach
us the important of life and puts in the right track to ensure that
we are capable enough to survive in this society. Those who make us
more knowledgeable and enable a proper flow of knowledge from one
generation to other. Without them we all would be barbarians. Respect
them because without them the world would become an anarchy.
There will be no person to learn by walking around the ignorant
generation and if you keep the teachers but only know that they stay
close. Everyone can go a bit like a vehicle. The teacher is one of the
most important people in a student's life. Teachers are everywhere -
our first teachers were our parents or guardians. Our second teachers
were our extended family and our friends.
When we started our formal schooling at around five to six, teachers
gave us the knowledge that helped us knit together the meaning
of our life. Good teachers helped us learn to socialise with others
appropriately. A good teacher gave us the 'aha' moment - when we
could see patterns between and among previously disconnected facts
and opinions. The teachers in our school, be it public or private or
parochial, helped us advance what we knew or were learning - from
experiences we had, to ideas we imagined, our young answers to life's
greatest mysteries.
Our family or those who cared for us were doing this, too, but we
needed outside reinforcement and we probably wanted to learn. Not
every child wants to go to school, but everyone of them I have met
wants to learn. Therefore teachers are the ones who making learning
fashionable for every students to grab knowledge easily. Teachers
have three loves:love of learning, love of learners and the love of
bringing the first two loves together. Education is our passport to the
future for tomorrow belongs to the people who prepare for it today.
