As a veterinarian, animal doctor, with over 25 years of experience my goal is
to practice the highest quality veterinary medicine with compassion for your

companion.

Dr Sidorsky has been practicing veterinary medicine in the
Pioneer Valley for over 25 years where he lives with his wife
Linda, and their pets Habibi (the dog) and Tim (the cat)

Dr. Sidorsky states that: "Our goal is to keep your pets as
healthy as possible and offer you practical, sound medical
advice in all stages of your pet's life." In addition, Dr Sidorsky,
as a veterinarian, is committed to developing a trusting and
lasting relationship with each of his clients and their pets.

Robert and Linda moved to the Western Massachusetts hill-
town area in 1983 when Dr Sidorsky began practicing
veterinary medicine in Shelburne Falls.

After some years it became clear that he wanted to offer veterinary services in a home
setting and began traveling with Linda as his assistant and Habibi as their traveling
companion throughout the Pioneer Valley. Robert Sidorsky DVM now brings his 25 plus

Because of the shorter lifespan of our pets, we
stress the importance of an annual physical
examination. Thorough check-ups and
preventive care can help alleviate serious health
problems. Physical Examination:

Advantages of Veterinary House Calls

House call veterinarians offer many conveniences that traditional animal hospitals
cannot. One of the biggest of those is overcoming the fear and trauma that many animals
experience when taken from their home to a veterinary hospital. Many animals release
pheromones (chemical scent signals) under traumatic conditions that linger in the air
and may cause fear reactions in animals that detect them.

Routine physical exams are done on an annual bases. If at any other time your pet's
health is in question, scheduling an appointment for a complete physical exam can be
arranged.

Pet vaccinations (shots) are very important to your pet's health. Dogs and cats are at
risk of contacting contagious diseases when exposed to other animals and the
environment.

Vaccinations help protect your pet from these diseases. Dogs and cats routinely receive
vaccinations from when they are a couple of months old and then as needed throughout
their lives. Some vaccinations are done annually. Some vaccinations are done every
third year.

The list of the following vaccinations are done for your dog and cat: As a veterinarian
and as part of the Mobile Veterinary Services of Western Massachusetts we are aware of
the risks involved to your pet in the local area. Rabies vaccinations are required by the
state, all others are optional.

Routine Cat Vaccinations

Feline viral rhino, herpes, panleukopenia vaccinations: 9 and 13 weeks then once every
3rd year.

Leukemia: 9 and 13 weeks then annually.

Microchips for your cat and dog

Does your dog or cat go outside? We offer a safe and effective
way to identify your pet. Microchips are placed just under the
skin of your pet and can be used to identify it any time it may get
lost or need specific identification

Registered microchips give lost pets the best chance of returning home.

 The American Humane Association estimates over 10 million dogs and cats are lost or
stolen in the U.S. every year.
 One in three pets will become lost at some point during their life.
 Less than 2 percent of lost cats that entered the animal shelters were reunited with
their families. The return-to-owner rate for microchipped cats was dramatically higher
at over 38 percent (more than 2000 percent better).
 Only 58 percent of the microchipped animals’ microchips had been registered in a
database with their pet parent’s contact information.
