The Business Need
Our client Leese’s operates from two business locations and
required a phone system that would connect both of the
offices together. The offices operate as separate businesses
so are required to have separate phone numbers.
Phones are critical for the day to day running of the business, so Leese’s wanted a contingency plan in place to ensure
they don’t loose calls in the event of power cut or phone line failure.
They also required out of office hours calls to be routed from both offices through to the out of hours team and calls
that are not answered in a set time during office hours, to transfer to the other office and be easily identifiable which
office the caller was ringing.
The Solution
All requirements were easily solved by the hosted phone system, both offices are
connected together on the same phone system with, separate phone numbers. Meaning offices can call each other
using an extension number or direct dial number, for no cost.
Calls are diverted to the on call team during out of hours, with this divert automatically cancelling during office
opening hours. For the out of hours team they have both a mobile phone and a hosted phone which they connect at
their location and when a call comes in the mobile and the hosted phone ring simultaneously.
To ensure no downtime, when the system detects a connection problem the calls are automatically routed to the
preset mobile numbers. Making sure every call is answered is essential, so when not answered within a set time
the call automatically transfers to preset numbers with caller display.
The Feedback
Having had our own phone system installed for many years, from the CTR Services UK Hosted solution, we now get
all our standard features such as caller display, on hold music, internal transfer, with a whole load of new features.
Things which were never possible in our old platform, such as bringing our offices to a single system and automating
our everyday tasks such as diverts, simultaneous ringing are now possible. Alongside having access to the online
portal so I can change the system setup in a few simple clicks no matter where I am.
We have a total of 20 phones in the system so all staff can now take calls rather than only having 2 incoming lines,
crucial for our volume of calls. When working from home I simply take my desk phone home with me and work as if i
