The main difference between CBSE and NIOS is that CBSE
doesn’t give you the option for appearing in the 10th and 12th
exams directly. You have to sit for the entire year and then
appear in the exams. On the contrary, NIOS gives you the
option of on-demand exams for 10th and 12th failed students.
Following are the differences between CBSE and NIOS:
•CBSE follows a regular school system, whereas NIOS is an open board of
education.
•Students failed in class 10 or 12 can avail of the facility of the on-demand
exam, whereas CBSE doesn’t give you this option.
•NIOS offers a distance education program, whereas CBSE has a formal
education.
•In CBSE, you get three chances to pass the exams, whereas NIOS gives
you nine opportunities to pass the exam.
•Students get the option of choosing subjects of their own choice whereas in
CBSE you have to follow the group of subjects as per the stream.
NIOS offers a unique and flexible education system that helps
students in completing studies at various levels like vocational
courses, senior secondary, and secondary. It also gives you
the option of continuing your education if you have crossed
the upper age limit for any reason.
