Instant Messaging must be "turned on" for each user. It is recommended that the Department
Director/Chair/Manager send an email authorizing specific staff to have this feature turned on:

On West Campus: Send the email to "SupportTeam".
On E. Campus: Send the email to “SBUH-HSC Help Desk”

Then the server information must be added to the user’s Location preferences in the Notes client.

For Users with the Notes 8.5 Basic Configuration

• Click File > Locations > Edit current location

Click the Servers tab

In the IBM Lotus Sametime
server field enter:
noteslim2.cc.sunysb.edu/DoIT
(For Notes 8 Standard do not
enter the /DoIT)

Click Save and Close

For Users with the Notes 8.5 Standard Configuration

 Click File > Preferences
 Click Sametime > Server Communities
 Click the Reset User button

Enter the host server that was
given to you when you
requested access to Notes IM.

screenshot)
Enter your Notes User Name
Enter your Notes Password

Click Log In
