Feedback from A. Bussaba
interesting topic, but be careful about the supporting ideas because it seems easy that the details
would be repetitive or overlapped with the other supporting ideas

First Draft

What is a good listener?

Do you ever have an opportunity to be someone’s listener? If you do and that person
never talk to you again, you should know that he or she doesn’t want to be your friend anymore
because you are not a good listener. Then what a good listener should do. First, prepare
yourself. Getting ready to listen to speakers is always the good beginning. They will feel more
comfortable to talk. Before the conversation start, you should ask them if they need
suggestions. Knowing speaker’s purpose is what a good listener should do. Because if they just
want to share their story, giving any suggestion may hurt their feeling. Concentrating is also
what you should do. Interrupting speakers is the thing we shouldn’t do. You need to let them
talk first so they can tell their story more clearly and accurately. A good speaker should not
only listen to their words but also listen to their mind. Sometimes speaker’s feeling can be
complicated. They may not know what their true feeling are. If you can read their mind, you
can give a sign to let them know their true feeling. Following these can make you become a
good listener and also make speakers feel much better. So, make yourself free and get ready
for the next one.
