NEW LADDER TRUCK Hot Springs Fire Department Director Steve Trusty and Mayor Pat McCabe check out the truck's storage compartments. The Hot Springs Fire Department's new aerial ladder truck arrived from Pierce Manufacturing, Inc. in early January and was on hand prior to the Board's Jan. 10 Agenda Meeting at City Hall. This vehicle will replace the 1995 LTI tiller aerial truck at the Central Fire Station. It will be able to go into areas of town most aerial devices would not because it allows for a driver in the front and the rear, and it will have innovations to meet codes for apparatus safety standards. New District 2 Director Phyllis Beard sees what the view is like for the rear driver.
