What is Neurodiversity?
You may have heard of the term Neurodiversity or heard someone described as
neurodivergent and wondered, what does that mean?
Maybe a colleague, friend or family member has one and you would, like to know more
about it. Did you know that around 15% of the UK population are Neurodiverse? In fact,
this figure is likely to be much higher as many people did not realise, they may have a
neurodiversity until later in life. This awareness training will answer the questions and help
increase your understanding of this term and the lives of the people who live with it.
During the session you will discover -
• What the term neurodiversity means
• Identify the distinct types and main characteristics
• Experience what it is like to have a neurodiversity
• Receive simple tips on how to work with a neurodivergent colleague
• If you think you may be neurodivergent, what to do about it
• The types of support available
• Learn where you can find further resources
This training is delivered in conjunction with SB Training and
delivered by an experienced Tutor. Follow up 1-2-1 support and
mentoring sessions are also possible for any neurodivergent
