COURSE OVERVIEW The TOEIC Speaking Test evaluates practical English skills for everyday life and the professional environment, requiring test takers to respond to questions and scenarios verbally. This course comprises eight (8) sessions, divided into 4 one-on-one (1:1) sessions and 4 group sessions (4:1). Its primary objective is to prepare learners for the TOEIC Speaking examination by improving their spoken language proficiency. Essentially, TOEIC Speaking places its focus on honing skills related to practicing dialogues, participating in business-oriented conversations, and initiating discussions within the context of professional scenarios, rather than informal or casual conversational contexts. Class Type Distribution (4) 4:1 Classes (4) 1:1 Classes (3) Optional Class / Self-study 1:1 Classes: TOEIC Speaking (Parts 1 - 3) Acquire strategies for responding to various question types found in TOEIC Speaking Parts 1-3, including describing pictures, responding to questions, and expressing opinions. TOEIC Speaking (Parts 4 - 6) Expand their vocabulary and grasp of business-related terminology to confidently discuss workplace and industry-specific topics. Reading Aloud (Part 1) Receive constructive feedback and guidance to address areas of improvement in their reading aloud abilities. Odds and Ends (with list of books to choose from) Strengthen weak points in English language skills. Each month, this module focuses on a specific skill to provide targeted improvement.
The TOEIC Speaking module provides two distinct classes: the Preparatory Module and the Score Improvement Module. If only one student qualifies for a specific Test Module class, they will receive 6 one-on-one (1on1) instruction sessions. However, if there are at least 2 students in the group, they will receive the complete set of 8 sessions. 4:1 Classes: TOEIC Speaking Patterns and Expressions Understand how to use language patterns and expressions appropriately in different situations. Speak Up Discussion Enhance their ability to listen actively, respond thoughtfully, and engage in meaningful conversations. TOEIC Speaking Tactics (2 classes) Develop advanced speaking skills to express ideas, opinions, and information in a professional context. Optional Group Classes/Self-study Cultivate self-motivation and discipline to stay committed to their language learning journey. Initial simulation test – on the first day of the term (for base score) Final simulation test – given on the 4th week of the term Weekly in-class practice tests (every Friday)
