About RTJGC

Designed by Robert Trent Jones Sr., Robert Trent Jones

Golf Club is not just an exclusive, private club located conveniently outside
of Washington, DC on the banks of Lake Manassas, it is an experience. The
moment you drive through the gate, get ready to have all the stress of city
living melt away. RTJGC offers members and their guests a sanctuary in
which they can pursue one of the finest possible golfing experiences in the
world.

The course, which Mr. Jones called “his masterpiece” opened for play in
1991 and has served as the host for the 1994, 1996, 2000 and 2005 Presidents
Cup Tournaments, as well as the 2015 Quicken Loans National, hosted by the
Tiger Woods Foundation. The manicured tees, sculpted fairways and large
greens are of bent grass. The greens are famous for their speed, trueness
and contours -- the combination of which reward well-played shots to the
green and make recovering from not-so-well-done shots “interesting”. The
back nine holes offer beautiful vistas of Lake Manassas.

The beautiful, Georgian-style Clubhouse provides the appropriate
accommodations to complete the golf experience. The main level features
a variety of dining and meeting rooms to meet a wide range of needs, along
with the men’s locker room. In addition to the common area overlooking
the presentation lawn and the lake, the upper floor has 12 suites to be used
by Members and their guests for overnight accommodations. A beautiful
golf shop which is very well stocked with the highest quality merchandise is
on the lower floor, along with the ladies locker room and the administrative
offices. The view of the Clubhouse looking up from the 18th fairway and
green is especially spectacular.

Along with the Clubhouse suites, several cottages located near the
Clubhouse can be rented to provide accommodations for Members and
their guests. These are the perfect facilities for groups ranging from 4 to 8
guests. Cottages on the Club grounds are owned by Members. Sites are
available for additional cottages to be built by Members who desire their
own accommodations for their visits to the Club. Members may decide
whether or not to include their cottage in the rental pool.

The Teaching Facility is one of the finest in the country and was ranked in
the top 50 Private Ranges for 2016 and 2017 by the Golf Range Association
of America. It includes four practice bays and one private video bay for
lessons. Each bay is equipped with a heater that will allow for year round
practice, as well as state-of-the-art digital video/computer equipment that
will analyze your swing and putting stroke.
