Dear Dodd Participant,
Welcome to the 78th Allison Dodd Invitational. You may have heard that the club is going through a
Transformation/Master Plan project. Much of the clubhouse will be under construction during your
stay and the sounds of hammers, and the occasional jack hammer, can be heard. I am proud to say
our membership has taken it in stride. I think you will quickly find that it hasn’t been too bad.
There is a true buzz around the club and we are proud to show you our finished Golf and Tennis
Shops, new Halfway House area, and the recently completed Men’s Locker Room. On the golf
course, a new Par 3 complex awaits. From some of the new distances, any ball that simply finds the
green should be considered an accomplishment. Speaking of the grounds, Gabe Wochley, Course
Superintendent, and his staff have Glen Ridge Country Club in outstanding shape. It is always
perfect out there and 2016 is no different from years past.
History at Glen Ridge Country Club has been created many times during The Dodd; I suspect this
year’s event will be no different. As many participants already know, one of the best aspects of this
annual event is its players. Members and guests have formed the same teams year after year.
Many rivalries and friendships have formed over these three days annually. In short, we could not
be happier that you could join us, help create good times, and make possible history.
The Allison Dodd Committee asks that you please bring a flag from your home club. As we
continue a tradition started last year, each guest’s club flag will be prominently displayed
on property during The Dodd. This is our way of making you feel a little more at home. If you
left us your flag last year, you do not need to bring a new flag. All flags will be given back to you
upon request.
The Allison Dodd Invitational Committee’s goal is simple: make this the best Dodd ever! If there is
anything my staff or I can do to make your time at Glen Ridge Country Club more enjoyable, do not
hesitate to call upon me.

2015 Allison Dodd
Invitational
Format of Play
The competition will follow the traditional format with five nine-hole matches;
three on Friday and two on Saturday. At the completion of the tournament, your
team will have played a nine-hole match against each of the teams in your flight.
Scoring will be on a BETTER BALL basis.
Flight Winners
Flight Winners will be determined on the basis of the highest point total. Every
match is worth 10 points. All holes will be worth a point plus one point for the
winner of each match.
The “Comeback” Winner
The “Comeback” Winner will be the team with the highest point total on
Saturday. This team will get a wildcard entrance into Saturday’s shoot-out (if not
a flight winner).
The Allison Dodd Champion
The Allison Dodd Champion will be determined after the completion of play on
Saturday. Flight winners, as well as the Comeback Winner from Saturday, will
participate in a playoff shoot-out.
The 30 Point Club
Each team who joins the 30 Point Club and accumulates 30 or more points in
their flight will get an equal share of the total pool in a Golf Shop credit voucher.
The entrance fee is $50 per team.
The Investment
Each team who joins The Investment – and is a member of the flight from which
comes the Dodd Champion – will get an equal share of the total pool in a Golf
Shop credit voucher. The entrance fee is $50 per team.
Participation in The 30 Point Club and The Investment is not included in the event
price. Teams can choose to participate in one, both, or neither of the pools. The
Golf Shop is currently registering teams and collecting these fees.
The Committee is happy to announce that your entry fee will include Open Bar
throughout the event, including all beverages on the course (with the exception
of bottled wine).
The entry fee for the Allison Dodd is $850 per team which includes a registration
fee of $425 which will be billed to your account. This entry fee will not be
refunded if you withdraw or cancel after August 29th.
