สถาบนั อุดมศึกษา ในระบบกลางการรับนิสิตนักศึกษา สถาบนั ทดสอบทางการศึกษาแห่งชาติจะ

Overview of Reading Skills

ในปกติ ข้อสอบภาคการอ่าน ปรากฏในส่วนท้ายของข้อสอบ O-NET และ GAT ซงึ ข้อสอบ
สว่ นนีมีจํานวนมาก นกั เรียนจะสามารถทําข้อสอบชนิดนีได้ นกั เรียนจะต้องมีความเข้าใจในการอา่ น
(Reading Comprehension)

ความเข้าใจ (Comprehension) เป็ นข้อสอบทีมีความสําคญั มากในภาคส่วนหนึงของการ
สอบแขง่ ขนั กนั ซงึ มีการแบง่ สว่ นเป็น ประเภท คือ

1. การสือประเภทกราฟิก (Graphic) ได้แก่ ตาราง (table) กราฟ (Graph) แผนภมู ิ เป็นต้น
2. การอา่ นเนือเรือง ได้แก่ ระดบั อนเุ ฉท สองอนเุ ฉท หรือมากอนเุ ฉท หรืออา่ นเรืองขนาดสนั

ขนาดกลาง และขนาดยาว

Comprehend หมายถึง เข้าใจ (understand) นกั เรียนจะต้องอ่านเรือง จบั ใจความ (Gist)
และตอบคําถามทีเกียวกบั เรืองทีอา่ น โดยข้อคําถามเกียวข้องกบั การตีความหมายคําศพั ท์หรือวลียาก
(Difficult words or phrases) หวั เรืองหรือหวั ข้อเรือง (topic or title) ใจความหลกั (main idea) การ

KWIEI คือสตู รหรือกระบวนการ เพือให้นกั เรียนใช้ในการทําข้อสอบในภาคสว่ นวดั ความเข้าใจ

ในการอ่านเนือเรือง (Reading Comprehension) โดย KWIEI มีหลกั การดงั นี (ทณุ เตียวรัตนกลุ ,
: 14)
KW = Keyword (คําสําคัญ) คือ คําหรือถ้อยคําทีเป็ นกญุ แจไขวา่ ข้อสอบข้อนนั ต้องการ

คําตอบในประเดน็ ใด (อา่ นโจทย์ก่อน)
I = Information (ข้อมูล) คือ เนือหาในเรือง บางคําถามก็ถามตรง ๆ โดยไมพ่ ลิกแพลง

(straightforward) คือ มีคําตอบแสดงอยู่ในเนือเรือง บางคําถามก็ต้องการชีชวนให้นักเรียนคิด

electricity. He flew a kite in a thunderstorm, a foolhardy thing to do, and got sparks from the
metal key he had attached to the string at the ground level. He shocked his friends into

The 20th century was not a good one for the Chinese. After dominating much of the
past two millenniums in science and philosophy, they have spent the past 100 years being
invaded and lectured by the West.

But in 1959 a short, skinny 18-year-old kid traveled from Hong Kong to America and
declared himself to be John Wayne. In an America where the Chinese were still stereotyped
as house servants and railroad workers, Bruce lee was a hero figure. He became obsessed
with martial arts and body building and not much else. Lee landed his first U.S. show-biz
role in The Green Hornet, a 1966-7 TV superhero drama.

Despite his readiness to embrace American culture, Lee could not get Hollywood to
embrace him, so he returned to Hong Kong to make films. In them, Lee chose to represent
the little guy who would fight for the Chinese against the invading Japanese or the small-
town family against the city-living drug-dealers. There were usually about 100 of these
enemies, but they mostly died as soon as he punched them in the face. The plots were
uniform : people close to Lee are killed; Lee kills lots of people to retaliate; Lee turns himself
in for punishment.

The films set box-office records in Asia, and so Hollywood finally gave him the
American action movie he longed to make. But Lee died at the age of 32, a month before
the release of his first US film.
