CAMP

JCC

DELAWARE

Welcome to a world created just for children.

Camp JCC is designed with the purpose
of nurturing discovery, exploration, active
participation, responsibility, individual growth,
and lifelong relationships. Most importantly, it
is designed for fun, because having fun is the
work of children. Surrounded by extraordinary
and dedicated staff, Camp JCC is a place where
campers can be themselves and have fun through
healthy challenges, teamwork, and a supportive
environment, integrating what they learn into their
daily lives; we call this the Camp-to-Life Experience.

Our Camp JCC Staff

Our camp staff members come to work at Camp JCC from

a variety of backgrounds and life experiences, but they are
all here for the same reason: For the campers! Many of
our staff are camp alumni and return to Camp JCC to work
for multiple years. Camp staff orientation covers camper
safety, program design and implementation, leadership,
teambuilding, and the best practices to work with campers.
We provide training to deepen staff knowledge on a variety
of camp and youth topics.

I could never,
in a hundred summers,

get tired of this.

they want to be.

From the start, we focus on the shared values that
everyone wants for their children: sportsmanship,
teamwork, responsibility, inclusion, and respect.
We do so using a Jewish lens to break down the use of
every value and encourage our campers to think not
only of the how of their behavior, but also the why.
Our staff is trained to be engaging with campers at all
levels, and the professionals we partner with make our
traditional camp programming second to none.

Each year I’m nervous

Each year, it’s better
