The sea has always been part of my life, as I was born in a small coastal
town. I am one of those lucky people who can see it every day and enjoy
its incredible beauty and power. My parents brought me to the beach
when I was a small child, and I was immediately impressed by its limitless
horizon, color, and waves. My best childhood memories are connected
with the sea, which is not surprising anymore given the fact that I spent
all my free time there.

Therefore, the beach is a special place for me, a place where I can be
alone with nature and a place where I can spend time with my friends.
The beach somehow can calm my messed up mind just by looking and
enjoying the breeze. In some way, it is one of my best friends, the one
that calms me down when I am sad or stressed and the one that inspires
me with its immaculate beauty. The beach that is located in my town has
changed much since my childhood.

When I was a small kid, it had nothing except for the sand and pebbles,
as well as the long pier that divided it into two parts, which were simply
called “left” and “right.” Although these parts were the same beach,
they have always looked different to me. The left side is shorter, but it
has a much better view on the coast, which ends with the tall red cliff
that is usually seen when the air is clear. The right side is longer and less
curvy, and it has more pebbles than the left one. It is also surrounded by
the water, as it is washed by the sea on the one side and by the lake on
the other. I liked to be on both sides of the pier as the left side reminds
me of my lost kitten while the right side reminds me of being there with
my late grandmother.

When I was a young kid, the sea and the lake were sometimes joined by
a small strait that usually dried up in summer. My father used to go
fishing on the lake, as it was a peaceful place where one could relax
and simply enjoy nature. However, the sea has always attracted many
people, especially in summer. People like to spend their time by going to
the beach as the beach offers them so much beautiful scenery of the
never ending sea view.

Local residents have begun building cafes and shops near the pier to
attract tourists, and the road that led to the beach was eventually
overbuilt with lodges, hotels, and shops. Someone even built a café on
the pier itself, making it a noisy place with loud music and drunk tourists.
The beach itself, however, has remained intact for quite a long time.

Authorities have constructed changing facilities here and there, but
they did not change the view much. In some ways, the beach was still a
nice place to spend time, especially if one took some pains to walk
away from the pier and all the noise. During the past years, however, the
local authorities have developed a plan of reconstructing the place to
make it more convenient and attractive for tourists.

As a result, several cafes were built right on the left part of the beach.
On the right side, the long beach promenade was built, which required
cutting down some old trees that grew there. On both sides of the
paved road, many small shops and cafes were built, blocking the view of
the sea. What is worse, there are now many beach chairs, umbrellas, and
other stuff designed to make the experience more convenient for
tourists. The left side of the beach that has always attracted me with its
wilderness and space has become flooded with tourists, who do not
even realize how wonderful it is to laon the hot sand and simply listen to
the sound of the waves and seagulls.

I miss those days when I could come to the beach to connect with
nature. I used to walk along the coast looking for some beautiful shells
brought by the waves. I could feel the space and freedom that cannot
be found in the town, and they have been the source of continuous
inspiration for me. It is sad to think that people prefer comfortability to
the wilderness, noise to calm and peace of the sea, and “civilization” to
pristine nature. I will always cherish the memory of the beach I used to
like, which is the perfect place where I could be free and be myself.

: EDITING (NARRATIVE)

Since middle school, I have always liked to read manhwa and manga or the

words that people used to called it; comics. It's excite me knowing full
well all those stories that I've read was based on people's imagination.

There's this one manhwa artist that I truly adored. Keeping up the update on
all her works shows off how much a fan I am towards her. Crazy much?
However, that's not what I am going to tell you. The stories goes like this. It
happened in the middle of hot summer days when I realized something odd
had occurred to me. One morning when I opened my eyes, things that I see
before me shocked me. Before I knew it, seeing just the colour of the ceiling
made me awake. I gasped in surprise as I sat upright. My eyes flailed around,
immediately recognise that the bedroom that I was in wasn’t mine. Heart
thumping loudly, my mind wandering into yesterday memories, trying my best
to remember what did happen yesterday. Though, no memories came upon.
“What have I done?” I thought, combing my fingers through my short hair—
wait, what! Short hair?

I abruptly get out of the bed and roaming around the bedroom, only to find

myself the seconds later having staring contest with my what I guessed my

own reflection. I was stunned. Taking a few steps closer to the mirror, I

stretched out my hand. "Just look at that face," I said out loud. A fresh-good

finelooking faced, glossy yet fluffy to the touch jet black haired, jawline. Oh

gosh! It looks like straight out of manhwa stories. His face is picture-perfect.

Truthfully, it this were to be my face, I might also kiss myself. But for real,

who and what exactly had happened to me?

After all those surprises, I had decided to explore the house. Surprisingly, the

house was in a neat condition: no speck of dust, the furniture were
arranged fitly, and no dirty laundry. For an unknown man, this house

deserved an applause since it is beyond my expectations. As I was checking

all spots in the house, the sounds of ringing phone could be heard. I walked

towards the origin of the sounds and stumbled upon a smartphone; placed

on the coffee table in the living room.

Under it, lay down a stack of white paper. Staring down, I pondered

over the question whether I should answered the call or not. It would

who owner anygive me the hint as
this body is but if possible that this

aowner is a celebrity, it would be hot news if they knew that this

owner isn't the right person. "Sigh! What should I do?" As it takes about

for me to decides10 minutes , I brave myself and picked up the call.

"Hello?" Deep and hoarse voice came out from my mouth.

"Miss Aura?" The ones on the other line said. Anxiously, I looked at

the phone screen. The word 'Manager' shown. 'Manager?'

"How do you know my name?" I suspiciously asked.

"I know it from the owner of the body that you're in right now."

"Wait, the owner? That means he's not dead. Where is he? Let me

see him. I want to get my body back."

"..." There was a pause as silence took in.

"Hello?"

"Please forgive me. If you want to know furthermore about the

details, you can call your number."

"My number... You mean, my-"

have a"Yes, your phone number. I'd like to talk with you for more

longer but unfortunately, I'm a busy man. So then, I excuse myself

first."

"Wait-!" The manager ended the calls, leaving me dumbfounded.

Taking in all the information, I plopped down the couch and sigh

heavily. Hastily, I made a call to my number only to be picked up by a

girl with my voice. Getting to hear my original voice even though it's

only for a couple of hours since I've lost my body made me sighed in

relief.

"Ah, let me guess. Aura, right?" My body said.

"Yes, I am. I'll be straight to the point. I want my body back, Mr. I-

don't-know-who"

"It's harsh but I can get used to it."

"Get used to it?"

"Nevermind that. Come at Fairytale Cafe at 11am and goes straight
away to the back of the cafe and you'll see you again." As he said
what he wants, he ended the call. I slapped my forehead hard,
grunting. "Who exactly is this guy?"

The clock strike eleven in the morning as I walked into the back of the
cafe just like the unknown man wanted. I'm for sure ain't a brave
person. Truth be told, I'm an introvert. I hardly ever talked to people
especially my classmates at school. I used to spend my time alone at
the rooftop, reading comics and sometimes staring into nothing. It
makes me feel safe, like I am in my own world where nothing or anyone
can hurts me. It is my precious barriers and who knows that the time
has come for me to turned it off. "This meeting should be worth my
time." The walk towards the table feels like eternity. My heartbeat
quickened as I wondered about the person who I was going to meet.
How old is he? Perhaps in his twenties? What does he do for living?
"Aura, here" A voice which I'm so familiar with greeted me. There he
was in my body, sitting down at the chair, waving his hand out.

"Let's start our stories, shall we?" The unknown smirked. I could tell that

he really enjoyed this as I've had no choice other than saying yes. We

talked and talked as both us explain in details about what happened

orbefore we switched our bodies. Overall, we knew that neither me

in the worldhim did anything irregular but how does this odd yet

events happeningmiraculous ? The time has passed quite some time

when a man in a suit approach us. The man threw a quick glance

towards me before having a quiet talk with Reece. It annoys me when

the two of them once in a time glancing their eyes on me. I don't

believe Reece one hundred percent as he gives out dangerous vibe but

my instinct tells me that is not going in my way.

4 DRAFT OF WRITING

: EDITING (NARRATIVE)

The bustling little town did gave me exhausted especially when the Comic

Expo is being held at the centre of town. Ah, you may be wondering how

could I got here. You see, it all happened batch at the time when we're in

seriousthe cafe. "I need you to replace me," he said in a tone. Before I

could protests, both of them had dragged me out and throw me in the back

sit of a black Mercedes Benz car. Reece briefly explained to me the things

that I need to do once we get to our destination. Smile, greet and sign.

Those three things that I need to do freaked me out real hard. For an

introvert like me, that would be out of my list. Though, how much I wanted

to run away from this nightmare, I couldn't do anything since I don't know

Reece's address and thus, I complied to his orders. As my first customers

approach me, I stunned at the cover of the comic book that she hold. "Isn't

which laidthat..." I whispered silently to myself. The comic book in front of

me is none other than the manhwa I've read online, which I adored the

author. Gasp! Reece is the author. I turned my head towards him just to see

him stiffled a giggle from my reaction. "You're quite slow, aren't ya?" He

muttered.

I watched as people left with wide smile plastered on their lips, feeling

satisfied that they got their favorite author's signature. Though, I feel bad

for deceiving them as I'm not the original artist, I can't help but to grinned

when I saw their happy faces. It somehow tickling my heart. The atmosphere

lasted only for a moment until the lights flickering on and off, making the

gocrowds panic. I jumped out of the chair, heads turning to the left and

right. "Am I going to die?" I asked in a lower voice. "No, you're not," said

Reece, as he gripped tightly on my arm. Not only the lights went wrong, the

two of us felt the sudden headache. I held my head, painfully. "It... hurts"

completelyThe lights went off leaving the crowds in a total darkness. When

I opened my eyes back, once again I found myself laying down in bed.

Though, this time it was my own bedroom. I blinked for a couple of times

just to make sure whether the events are real or just an imagination of

mine. Sighing, I rolled over to the side of the bed, reaching out to get my

phone. "It really was a dream..." Sitting up, I unlocked the phone and see

some messages. "Ah, maybe it is real"

"10am, at the usual place" -Reece

As we all know, right now the world are facing
dangerous epidemic named Covid 19, so due to
that, many people are struggle to continue their
life as usual especially students. They also got
affected as their learning process cannot be
held as usual. In the past, we only have learning
method which traditional learning or also known
as face to face learning,. But now, we have two
methods of learning which are traditional
learning and online learning. Online learning is a
rapidly expanding environment which allow the
users the flexibility of operating outside of the
constant of time and place. In addition, online
learning also known as “learning that takes place
partially or entirely over the Internet

5 ORIGINAL TEXT
: ARGUMENTATIVE

Both study methods have their own advantages
and disadvantages. We can’t say that online
learning is more helpful than traditional learning
because online learning also have their own
disadvantages. So without further ado let’s get
started,th. The first advantage of online learning
is it is considered as conducive to students who
favor self-regulated learning. It is because
sometimes the teachers cannot attend the class
eventhough through online but still they cannot
forget their responsibilities, so they will give their
students a task that need to be completed on a
certain time. In this context, students who favor
self-regulated learning will like it because they
have their own time to study the materials given
by their lecturers. While traditional learning
provides students to learn face to face with their
lecturers.

5 ORIGINAL TEXT
: ARGUMENTATIVE

For example, if they do not understand certain
things, then they can directly ask from their
lecturers about that. In online learning,
sometimes students didn’t get a chance to ask
question due to poor connection. So, they need
to wait for the next class to ask the question that
they wanted badly to ask.

Another advantage of online learning is that
online learning have the potential to open the
pathways for more opportunities for students in a
small, rural or low socioeconomic school districts.
Not all students are lucky enough to continue
their studies, sometimes not everyday they can
attend the classes. Maybe they have a problem
with transportation matters like not have enough
cars or busses to go to school. But by having an
online classes, they can attend their classes
every day on the right time.

5 ORIGINAL TEXT
: ARGUMENTATIVE

While, another advantage of traditional learning
is students get the opportunities to learn with
their friends. Unlike online learning, there are
some students whom their houses are near to
each other, so they can set time and place to
attend their online class together, but there are
also some students that attend the class alone.
Study with friends is more fun and interesting
because students can meet face to face and
exchange their ideas. Also, they got to complete
their tasks fast since students cooperate
together to finish it.

As I said, we can’t say that online learning is
more better than traditional learning or
traditional learning is more better than online
learning. In this pharagraph, I will show the
disadvantages of both methods. Online learning
is very easy and more efficient, but when it
comes to connection, there are some things that
students need to struggle with.

5 ORIGINAL TEXT
: ARGUMENTATIVE

For example, they need to find a good internet
connection in order to attend the class. In some
cases, there are some students need to go out
from their houses just to find better connection.
In this context, we can see that when it comes to
connections, online learning will cause some
troubles to students.Besides, there are some
students that do not have enough equipments for
online learning such as laptop, phone and others.
As a students, the most important thing that we
need to have is laptop. By using laptop, students
get to attend their classes via Google Meet,
Google Classroom or any other platforms.
Eventhough students have their own smart phone
but still there are certain things that students
need to use laptop.

5 ORIGINAL TEXT
: ARGUMENTATIVE

Now, let’s see the disadvantages of traditional
learning. The first one is the process learning of
traditional learning is limited only in the
classroom. Students are prohibited from bringing
an electronic devices like laptop and phone
because it may brings distraction to students. So,
the facilities to obtain another informations
related to their learning are very limited. Besides,
traditional learning is not suitable for introverts
students since they are not comfortable to talk in
front of many people. It is very hard for them to
participate actively in the classroom since they
are too shy to give their opinions to their
classmates. Unlike online learning, students can
turn off their camera while talking. So it is not
very embarrassing for them to give out their
opinions.

5 ORIGINAL TEXT
: ARGUMENTATIVE

In conclusion, it doesn’t matter if students used
any learning method in their study as long as they
are happy and comfortable with it. Online
learning has their own advantages so same goes
to traditional learning. I think right now it is
better for us to study using online learning
method since the cases is still with higher
amounts. But in certain subjects, I think it is
better to learn it face to face. For example,
medical studies like operate someone, I think it is
better to learn face to face since it is not easy to
learn through online. So, I hope after this, I will
not listen any arguments about this topic. I hope
there’s no more people who only supports online
learning or there’s no more people who only
supports traditional learning.

5 ORIGINAL TEXT: EXPOSITORY

Education is a process of learning or the developing of
skills, habits, values and personal development.
Education usually happened under the guidance of
educators like teachers and lecturers, however,
students can educate themselves through self-learning.
In the era of pandemic Covid-19, more students are
shifting from traditional learning to online learning as a
method of gaining education since it is unsafe to meet
people face to face. Online learning is a way of
gaining education through electronic technology and
media namely the internet where students can access
their learning materials whenever and wherever they
want (Tamm, 2021). Traditional learning on the other
hand is a process of learning that takes place in the
classroom where the students and the teachers could
meet virtually and physically in the same place. The
debate between online learning and traditional
learning grows every year and has become the hottest
controversy ever since the existence of Covid 19 since
more and more countries were forced to learn from
home. However, there are some similarities between
online learning and traditional learning whereas there
are also some differences between them.

5 ORIGINAL TE
XT: EXPOSITORY

Generally, both traditional and online learning share some
similarities. Reference materials are needed by students in
both traditional and online learning as a way for the
students to gain knowledge for their studies. It is proven by
common sense observation and copious research evidence
that there is a lot of benefit from extensive reading
(Waring 2000,2006). From extensive reading, students get
to enhance their understanding of a lesson thus increasing
their knowledge for a specific topic in their learning. The
only difference between traditional and online learning in
this case is the form of the materials which traditional
learning uses physical form of materials like book and
journal while for online learning, students are more likely to
use E-book and digital materials that can be found easily
on the internet. Extensive reading is done by the students
simply because teachers or lecturers may not provide full
information regarding the topic, rather, they would like the
students to find and search additional information related
to the topic they have highlighted. Hence, students are
acquitted to use reference material to increase their
knowledge and preparing themselves for assignments and
assessment that will be assigned to them.

5 ORIGINAL TEXT: EXPOSITORY

Furthermore, another similarity between traditional

and online learning is the mode of evaluating their

students. In both traditional learning and online

learning, students are given assignments as a

method for the lecturers to assess their

understanding for their classes. According to

Teachmint@wp (2021), assignments are tasks given

to students by their tutors and have to be

completed in curtain time, plus, it can be in the

form of written, practical or even coursework. The

purpose of assigning assignments to the students is

to analyse whether the students understand or not

for a certain topic after being taught by their

lecturers. Therefore, assignments help weak

students to reflect on their learning thus helping

them strengthening their foundation of

understanding.

5 ORIGINAL TEXT: EXPOSITORY

On the other hand, traditional and online learning seem to have a lot of
significant differences when comparing to one other. One of the vital
differences between traditional learning and online learning is that the
interaction between students with their lecturers as well as how they
obtain information regarding their subject. Traditional learning approach
in real time or synchronous learning only while online learning can be
both synchronous and asynchronous learning. Synchronous learning in
online education is done when the lecturers organise a meeting via
online platform such as Google Meet or Zoom Meeting to teach their
students. In this approach students can interact with their instructor and
friends virtually. Online learning is praised for its flexibility since students
can decide the time when and where they will study or even complete
their coursework. It allows students to do other things when
asynchronous learning approach is used by their lecturers. For instance,
students can study while working at the same time (Hart,2008).
Moreover, students could undertake their studies while doing house
chores like taking care of their siblings or help their mom cooking food.
Contrastingly, traditional learning only offers face to face interaction in
the classroom. As a result, students cannot do other things besides
studying in the classroom. Nevertheless, it is believed that face to face
interaction in the classroom provides better learning atmosphere since
there will be less distraction and difficulty, therefore, you can
concentrate harder on your learning. To conclude this, both traditional
and online learning have different approach regarding their interaction
and both of them have their own pros and cons on that approach.

5 ORIGINAL TEXT: EXPOSITORY

Finally, the difference between traditional learning and online
learning is the pace of receiving feedbacks from the lecturers or
instructors to the students. In traditional learning, students
converge in the classroom and get to exchange ideas and
conversations directly without any lag. This is because the
classroom setup creates exclusive environment for the students
and lecturers to communicate. Because of this, it is easier and
faster for the students to received feedback and knowledge
from their peers and lecturers hence students will be more
satisfied with the course session (Bourne & Moore,2003).
Students able to respond right away to questions given by their
lecturers meanwhile the lecturers can identify the characteristic
of their learners, thus applying the best method in dealing with
the students. In contrast, online learning lack of physical
interaction between students and their lecturers, making it
slower to get feedback from them. During unsynchronous
learning, students communicate with each other and the
lecturers using online platform like email, WhatsApp and
Telegram. In many instances, this could be a problems or
disadvantages for students who needs a quick reply from their
friends or lecturers. Thus, the pace of receiving feedback
between traditional and online learning create a different
between both style of learning.

5 ORIGINAL TEXT: EXPOSITORY

In conclusion, whether it is traditional learning or
online learning, the purpose of both of them is to
provide education for students in order to keep
the cycle of gaining knowledge from stopping.
Education is importance because it helps people
to change their life for the better. Sure, the
debate between traditional versus online learning
will not stop since there are pros and cons
between the two, therefore students need to
adapt themselves to both styles so that they can
maximized their learning skills which can benefit
them in their study.

"..." There was a pause as silence took in.
"Hello?"
"Please forgive me. If you want to know furthermore about the
details, you can call your number."
"My number... You mean, my-"
"Yes, your phone number. I'd like to talk with you for more time, but
unfortunately, I'm a busy man. So then, I excuse myself first."
"Wait-!" The manager ended the calls, leaving me dumbfounded.
Taking in all the information, I plopped down the couch and sighed
heavily. Hastily, I made a call to my number only to be picked up by a
girl with my voice. Getting to hear my original voice, even though it's
only for a couple of hours since I've lost my body, made me sigh in
relief.
"Ah, let me guess. Aura, right?" My body said.
"Yes, I am. I'll be straight to the point. I want my body back, Mr. I-
don't-know-who."
"It's harsh, but I can get used to it."
"Get used to it?"

"Nevermind that. Come to Fairytale Cafe at 11am and go straight
away to the back of the cafe, and you'll see you again." As he said
what he wanted, he ended the call. I slapped my forehead hard,
grunting. "Who exactly is this guy?"

The clock struck eleven in the morning as I walked into the back of the
cafe just like the unknown man wanted. I'm for sure ain't a brave
person. I'm an introvert. I hardly ever talked to people, particularly my
classmates at school. I used to spend my time alone at the rooftop,
reading comics and sometimes staring into nothing. It makes me feel
safe like I am in my world where nothing or anyone can hurt me. It is my
precious barrier, and who knows that the time has come for me to turn
it off. "This meeting should be worth my time." The walk towards the
table feels like an eternity. My heartbeat quickened as I wondered
about the person I was going to meet. How old is he? Perhaps in his
twenties? What does he do for a living? "Aura, here," A voice that I'm
so accustomed to greeted me. There he was in my body, sitting down
at the chair, waving his hand out.

"Let's start our stories, shall we?" The unknown man smirked. I could tell
that he fancied this as I've had no choice other than to say yes. We
talked and talked as both of us explained in detail what happened
before we switched our bodies. Overall, we knew him, nor did I do
anything irregular, but how did this odd, miraculous event occur? The
time has passed quite some time until a man in a suit approaches us.
The man threw a glance towards me before holding a quiet talk with
Reece. It annoys me when the two of them once in a time glance their
eyes at me. I don't believe Reece one hundred percent yet as he gives
out a dangerous vibe, but my hunch tells me that things are not going
in my way.

The bustling little town made me exhausted, primarily when the Comic Expo
was held at the center. Ah, you may be wondering how I could get here.
You see, it all happened back at the time when we were in the cafe. "I
need you to replace me," he said in a sharp tone. Before I could protest,
both of them had dragged me out and threw me in the back seat of a
black Mercedes Benz car. Reece briefly explained to me the stuff that I
needed to do once we got to our destination. Smile, greet, and sign. Those
three things that I need to do freaked me out real hard. For an introvert like
me, that would be out of my list. Though, how much I wanted to run away
from this nightmare, I couldn't do anything since I didn't know Reece's
address, and thus, I complied with his orders.

As my first customer approached me, I was stunned at the comic book
cover that she held. "Isn't that..." I whispered silently to myself. The comic
book in front of me is none other than the manhwa I've read online, which I
adored the author. Gasp! Reece is the author. I turned my head towards
him to see him stifle a giggle from my reaction. "You're quite slow, aren't
ya?" He muttered.

I watched as people left with a broad smile plastered on their lips, feeling
satisfied that they got their favorite author's signature. Though I feel bad
for deceiving them as I'm not the original artist, I can't help but grin when I
see their happy faces. It somehow tickled my heart. The atmosphere lasted
only for a moment until the lights flickered on and off, making the crowds
dread. I jumped out of the chair, heads turning to the left and right. "Am I
going to die?" I asked in a lower voice. "No, you're not," said Reece, as he
grasped tightly on my arm. Not only did the lights go wrong, the two of us
felt a sudden headache. I held my head painfully. "It... hurts" The lights
went off altogether, leaving the crowds in total darkness. When I opened
my eyes back, once again, I found myself lying down in bed. Though, this
time it was my bedroom. I blinked a couple of times to ensure whether the
events were actual or just my imagination. Sighing, I rolled over to the side
of the bed, reaching out to get my phone. "It really was a dream..." Sitting
up, I unlocked the phone and saw some messages. "Ah, maybe it is real."

"10am, at the usual place" -Reece.
