Hydroponics: A beneficial promise for Farmers

Hydroponics is a method of growing plants not in soil, but in water. Hydroponics proves to be
more reliable and beneficial than regular soil-based farming. Hydroponics yields healthier
plants year-long, which means no weather can damage the crops. The crops can also grow
faster, with about 80% lesser water consumption as compared to regular farming. Also, unlike
regular farming, crops can also grow in artificial lighting. Almost any crop can be grown
hydroponically. This is a way for farmers to grow their crop easily, without much difficulty,
labor or effort. And there is no fear of weeds or pests, which means no use of herbicides or
pesticides is required. Nutrient efficiency allows hydroponic crops to grow two times more
than soil-farmed crops. Hydroponics is a highly beneficial method for farming. It is a
groundbreaking discovery in the field of agriculture.

Kajri Folk Song

Kajri derived from the Awadhi word Kajra or Kohl is a genre of
semi classical singing, originating from the Indian
subcontinent, popular in Uttar Pradesh. It is often used to
describe the longing of a maiden for her dearest one as the
black monsoon cloud come hanging in the summer skies, and
the style is notably sung during the rainy season.

It comes in the series of season songs, like Chaiti, Hori and
Sawani, and is traditionally sung in the villages and towns of
Uttar Pradesh around Varanasi Mirzapur, Mathura, Allahabad.

Some noted exponents of Kajri are Begum Akhtar, Girija Devi,
Pandit Channulal Mishra, Ustad Bismillah Khan, and Rajan
and Sajan Mishra.

The song resonates with the loneliness and sadness of the
monsoons at the regions of Uttar Pradesh and Bihar.
