WELCOME GUIDE

Wel come t o Fu si on HomeBase

Congratulations on j oining an enthusiastic,
result-oriented team committed to
revolutionizing education!

Our Fusion Education Group office supports a network of Fusion
Academies in multiple states. Our schools are alternative, college-prep
private schools for grades 6-12 that offer class sizes as small as they
come: one student, one teacher. Students may attend Fusion Academy full
time, or enroll in our after-school and summer programs as an educational
supplement.

Personalization and customization are key elements of our programs. The
curriculum meets state standards, but the classes are self-paced and
taught in a way that considers each student?s individual interests,
strengths, and learning style. We also offer flexible scheduling and allow
students to begin a class at any time during the year. What?s more, Fusion
Academy students do not take their homework home with them, but
complete it under teacher supervision in the Homework Café® before they
leave for the day.

Going beyond academic support, Fusion Academy partners with outside
therapeutic professionals and programs to support students?emotional
health and create a balance between learning and life. Each campus is also
equipped with a state-of-the-art recording studio and a full mixed-media
art studio to provide students with opportunities for creative expression.

serving and supporting our school teams in their mission to

and their families.

A Sp eci al Wel come...

Pete Ruppert
CEO

Making the most of
your internship.

No matter how long your time in Grand Rapids, Pete Ruppert, Fusion CEO, encourages
each intern to participate in a few specific activities during the course of their
internship. Please do your best to incorporate all of the following activities into your
time here. The activities are listed in no particular order.

1. ATTEND ANMPOP

The Monthly Presentation of Progress brings Fusion leaders together to discuss recent accomplishments, future goals and
present obstacles within the various departments of the company. MPOP?s usually last three to four hours, but the time
goes by fast. Talk to your manager to get the upcoming MPOP(s) on your calendar!

2. MEET WITHJOHNIRWIN, HUNTINGTONBANK

Mr. Irwin is a DePauw alumnus and the President of Huntington Bank?s Western Michigan Region. He consistently meets
with Fusion interns and generously offers advice on topics like interviewing, career paths and maintaining a well-balanced
lifestyle. You can reach John at [email protected]. Feel free to ask Pete for an introduction if you are not
comfortable with reaching out, but know John is extremely personable and eager to meet new interns. Make sure to reach
out to John early on in your internship as he is a very busy guy.

3. INVITEFUSIONEXECUTIVESTO LUNCH

Pete encourages interns to invite each member of Fusion?s executive team to lunch at least once during the internship. All
of Fusion?s execs followed very different career paths and have great insights for soon-to-be college graduates. Try to
meet at least once with Pete Ruppert, Dave Martin, Jeff Poole, Jenny DeLessio, Mike Van Dinther, Steve Racelis and Grace
Losada (if she?s in town). You can meet with or without any fellow interns and may have to group Executives together
because they all have very busy schedules. The earlier you start getting to know the executives, the more time you can
spend with them.

4. S.O.A.R.

SOAR, School Opportunity Assessment Review, is an important component of our New School Development department.
In summary, it an extensive presentation to the Fusion Board, CEO and CFO to introduce new market potential. An intern
assists in the preparation by researching and documenting demographics, market facts, housing, economic development,
local competitors and school profiles. Additionally, NSD presents the market plan, potential risks, the suggested
leadership team, proposed building or real estate and proj ected financials. This a fantastic learning opportunity.

5. SHADOW FELLOW INTERN(S)

Time permitting, try to spend some time shadowing any other interns at Fusion. Fusion interns typically work on a variety
of tasks for several departments. Exposure to the work of other Fusion interns will give you more experience with the
different areas of business. On asimilar note, reach out to different teams for work. Every department has proj ects to
complete and will welcome your help.

6. VISIT A SCHOOL

With three schools in Chicago, Fusion interns have a great opportunity to visit acampus. Keep an ear out for Executives
planning trips to Chicago or taking short trips to other schools around the country. Offer to drive any Chicago-bound
executive on their trip or brainstorm ways you may be of assistance to an executive going to aschool outside of the
Chicago region. Executives want you to have this opportunity while contributing to the visit accordingly.

SURVIVINGHomeB aseLIFE

It takes a village...

of Fusionites.

Fusion HomeBase should feel like home. We want everyone to feel
pride and ownership in this beautiful space (and we want to keep it
that way for a long time!). Here?s how we do it.

Your department is responsible for making sure the conference rooms and quiet
rooms closest to your department are clean and free of coffee cups, trash, etc.

Each department is assigned one week per month in which they are responsible for
cleaning the kitchen areas on the specified floor and starting the dishwasher(s).

Rotations are listed below and shared at Huddle.
This should be done at 4:45pm every day.
List of tasks

- Dishes loaded/unloaded
- Turn coffee pots off at end of day
- Any overflow dishes are hand washed/dried/put away.
- Counters are cleared and wiped down
- Paper-towel and soap reloaded if low
- Fridge restocked (pop, 1case ready in the fridge.)

- K-cups organized and stocked on counter
- Restock soap and paper towel when low

- RUNDISHWASHERAT END OF DAY ONLY

Anything left over after the dishwasher has been run at 4:45 is the
responsibility of that person whose dish didn?t make it in the dishwasher to
hand wash and put away. Nothing left in the sink overnight unless there is an
extenuating circumstance.

If there are things like Beer:30 or office parties, this responsibility of doing
the dishwasher and cleaning becomes the owner of the meeting to
delegate out.

Office Supplies.

There is a set ?office kit?in each area (dependent on what each area
needs/uses most). Your HomeBase DFI?s can assist with ordering supplies.
Be sure to advise when something is running low. Please note that larger
items, or more expensive purchases require the approval of your supervisor
to purchase.

Dresscode...
Keep it simple.

Fusion is a company that prides itself in being a
team of professionals dedicated to serving our
students, parents and guests.

FEGcorporate office currently boasts a "Dress for Your Day" dress-code. This means
that j eans are allowed any day of the week, but visits by guests may require putting
our j eans away for a couple of days. You know when to dress it up. Our reputation is
not only built by the quality of our schools ? we need to look the part of a world-class
business to the education industry.

Regardless of j eans or suit, you are expected to maintain a personal appearance that is
appropriate to the work being performed and consistent with the professional image of
Fusion. Good j udgment is expected in matters of j ewelry, fragrances, cosmetics,
personal grooming, cleanliness, hygiene, body art and attire. This includes not wearing or
displaying any sexually suggestive graphics or messages, profanity or anything that
would generally be considered inappropriate in a school setting.

Remember, if in doubt, don?t wear it! We don?t want to see anyone?s undergarments and
if you?re wearing sandals, bust out the pedicure kits and get to buffin! Pete will have us
back on the Sunday-go-to-meetin?dress routine if we start looking like Kim Kardashian
or Jared Leto.

CILP...

As part of your IT training, here is a How-To guide on getting the quickest
desktop support should you encounter any problems. You can always email IT of
course, but sometimes we?re unavailable so your best option is to reach out to our
desktop support team.

The team is called CILPand they are Fusion?s contracted break-fix desktop
support specialists. Here?s a run through of the basics on how to set up an account
and report your issue.

Some of the things you?ll contact them for:

- Security access to directories within Source
- Desktop support for issues pertaining to your work laptop (does not

include personal devices), email, Internet connectivity, trouble with
Word/Excel/PowerPoint, etc.
- Printing issues from your computer

We IT

The first thing you?ll have to do is create an account with CILPso they know
how to contact you. This will also allow you to directly email them in the
future from Outlook ([email protected]). When you email
them, a ticket is auto generated and assigned which means you?ll get
assistance that much quicker.

Please follow this quick How-To for your

account setup.

Now that your account is created,

thereare3 ways to get in contact with CILP.

Call (719) 244-9568, Option 1

Email

Online Ticket

Any of these 3 methods of contact will work, but for immediate help I would
suggest calling them. They?re extremely friendly and will be able to sort out
almost any issue you could have.
I hope this helps and if you have any questions about contacting them
please feel free to reach out!

That thing...
on your desk,
it's a phone.

We in IT wanted to provide some information on the phones as to learning about its
features and where to get help.

Log into RingCentral.com (be sure you?ve activated your account)
Click on ?Get Help?at the top right next to ?Log Out?
Click on ?Help Center?
Here you will find a wealth of information pertaining to the phone system! You can
search for anything on the site using the search function or I would recommend
clicking on ?Guides & Videos?(See below).

If you cannot find the answer to your question, we highly recommend you call the
phone experts over at Ring Central at 1-888-898-4591. They are extremely
knowledgeable in regards to both the online system and the phones themselves.
