ISO Recertification Journey: JakartaKuala Lumpur-Batam Successful IMS External Audit Successful Audit Leads to ISO Certification Renewal for Java Offshore Java Offshore is pleased to announce the successful completion of our recent Integrated Management System (IMS) audit, which has resulted in the renewal of our ISO certification for another four years. The comprehensive audit process was held in three key locations: Jakarta, Kuala Lumpur, and included a vessel audit in Batam. This achievement would not have been possible without the dedication and hard work of our entire team. Special thanks go to all leaders, whose commitment and leadership were instrumental in this success. We extend our deepest gratitude to Pak William, the lead auditor from TÜV Rheinland, as well as Pak Agus and Pak Dian for their thorough and professional auditing of Java Offshore Group. HIGHL IGHT J O INS I G HT 7 2 P. 11 After the office audit, some of us flew to Batam, Indonesia for the the vessel audit. It was conducted onboard one of our geophysical vessel Java Irdina, with Pak William serving as the lead auditor. He was accompanied by a dedicated team consisting of myself, Captain Sudarmanto, Ibu Suci, and Captain Hasrul. In conclusion, the was no findings found and there was only 1 opportunity for improvement. Their combined efforts ensured a thorough and efficient audit process. Throughout the 1-week audit, only two minor findings were identified, along with eighteen opportunities for improvement. These insights will be invaluable as we continue to enhance our processes and maintain the highest standards of quality and efficiency. We are grateful for the collaboration and support we received throughout this process and look forward to reconnecting with our auditors soon. This successful audit not only reaffirms our commitment to excellence but also sets a strong foundation for our continued growth and success in the industry. Congratulations to us. Till the next IMS audit.

I firmly believe that if you never challenge yourself, you'll never discover your true potential outside of your comfort zone. Entering the oil and gas industry was never something I had imagined for myself. The industry typically conjures images of an all-male environment, being far from loved ones, dealing with rough conditions, and lacking basic amenities like Wi-Fi. However, one day, I stumbled upon an article about women working offshore. It inspired me, and I began to daydream about joining their ranks and here I am. Our safety slogan: SAFETY FIRST!! (chanted after toolbox meeting in TV/Entertainment room)

My first job on board and my first experience celebrating Hari Raya Aidilfitri on M Grace With Ain, my roommate and source of motivation Every job comes with its own set of challenges. In this case, we faced a delay due to faulty equipment during the sea trial, which required us to return to anchorage for maintenance. To mitigate such issues in the future, it's crucial to implement thorough job planning to prevent delays in upcoming projects. Despite all the challenges, I've learned a great deal throughout this journey, and I've successfully made it through. Looking forward to the next job.

Project Name: Analogue Survey at Kurma Manis WHP Client Name: Vestigo Petroleum SDN BHD IT IS THE CHALLENGES THAT “ STRENGTHENED OUR BOND. by Fitri Irfan bin Mohamed Akhi, Geophysicist What do you most like about this project? · The M Grace team is one of the best groups of people I have had the pleasure of working with. · The challenges that happen throughout of the project make the bonding between us become stronger. What are the new things you have learned? · Proficiently using and maintaining specialized geophysical equipment in marine settings. · Enhancing adaptability by learning to work efficiently in a dynamic and unpredictable offshore setting. · Need to have very strong mental because you will stay away from your beloved family for a long time. Regular Team Meetings Foster Camaraderie to Prevent Loneliness and Homesick During Hari Raya AidilFitri Challenges you face · Not celebrating Hari Raya Aidilfiri with family for the first time of my life. · The equipment always broken that cause a lot of time to troubleshoot and some of survey crew start to give up. · Being cut off from the usual communication channels made it difficult to stay updated with global events and industry trends. Contact with family and friends was also restricted, which could lead to feelings of loneliness and homesickness. How you overcome those challenges · Schedule regular breaks and provide recreational activities to help team members relax and recharge. · Bring backup equipment and spare parts to mitigate the risk of critical failures and delays. · Regular team meetings can foster a sense of camaraderie to avoid loneliness and homesickness during Hari Raya AidilFitri. “ FEATURED PROJECT J O INS I G HT 7 2 P. 16

A DAY IN A LIFE “My alone time is for everyone’s safety.” - Hugo By Nugroho Pratama aka Hugo Safety Health Officer What is Safety and Health Officer (SHO) on board? A safety and health officer is a Person responsible for ensuring that a project campaign complies with health and safety regulations while advising employees and other related departments during the time on board to maximize their efforts to maintain a safe and healthy workplace and to make sure that safety requirement is met with Client standard. AS SAFETY AND HEALTH OFFICER (SHO) Morning routine during on board Starting at 6 o’clock sometimes ahead, usually during the morning routine I tend to directly communicate with the Party Chief or Master about their planning on that day, so I can prepare which HSE documentation is needed for that plan such as permit, JSA, etc after that I checked if any reporting (UCUA) that need to be followed up and confirmation status updated for previous report, morning meeting with Party Chief and Master also with related supervisor and giving information related to HSE and what to do during the day. Conducted toolbox meetings with the crew and gave them refreshed about JSA, UCUA reports, and any other related precautions during their working time. Safety Inspections Inspection is crucial to do, why? Because inspection means we pay meticulous attention to the sustainability of safety in the working area, crew health and condition, equipment readiness and safety regulation compliance either from the government or client. During my time on board, several HSE inspections need to be conducted. Such as Hygiene Inspection with Medic/Doctor on board, LSA, FFA and Safety Equipment inspection, PPE Inspection, and General/ Safety Walkthrough inspection. Sometimes we just followed the client's requirement regarding the inspection program during the project campaign. This inspection is conducted weekly but if needed I will collaborate with the Party Chief/Master who will conduct it daily if required. Safety Training and Education Why Safety Training and education is needed: It develops crew knowledge about HSE 1. 2. Make a stronger HSE culture Compliance with safety regulations and client requirements 3. During my time on board, I conducted several safety trainings that were necessary related to Project Campaign or client requirements. If any theme or safety campaign also will be discussed during safety training or meeting. One of the skills that the safety officer on board must have is public speaking so that the content of the training is well absorbed by the crew and the aim for zero incidents can be achieved. Training is also included during emergency drills, for this part, I must collaborate with the marine department to conduct necessary drills, and after drill have a quick briefing to highlight the drill with the Master or Chief Officer for all crew on board. FEATURED PROJECT J O INS I G HT 7 2 P. 17

Emergency Response In general, the safety officer on board has a role or responsibility during emergency response such as: First point to be contacted if any emergency case occurred 1. Coordinating and maintaining communication for related departments if any case occurred (marine & technical) 2. Liaise with medic/doctor on board and report to head office if any IP (injured person) needs to be evacuated from the vessel 3. 4. Make a report about the incident/emergency case and report it to every related party. Notification, Preliminary, Final Report, and Follow Up the recommendation 5. Make sure the affected area is safe to enter again after the case and bring more awareness to all crew for their safety and health during the project campaign Related to emergency response, safety officer on board must collaborate with the Master as a commander, or usually, we call it OSC (On-Site Commander), during emergency cases and report to the Party Chief to update the current situation. Documentation and Reporting My old man used to say, write what you got to do, and do what you write. I have a duty that every activity (Toolbox meeting, Safety Training, Safety Inspection, Safety Meeting or Campaign, Incident Report, etc) must be recorded (hard or soft copy) because not just for me but for other departments they can access every safety information that needed especially during audit time. Personally, I record my document after the project campaign, but in Java Offshore we must collect all reporting activities into one documented report and it is called the HSE Close Out Report. This report is signed by me, the HSE Dept Lead and Project Manager, also it collected on the company server. Collaboration with Other Departments As a safety officer on board of course I cannot do and achieve my KPI by myself. I must collaborate with other crew and departments. The main part of collaborating is with the Party Chief and Master because they’re the leaders in each department. With the Party Chief, I intend to remind them what documents are needed from HSE and complete the requirements, such as a Permit to work; either general or specific jobs, Job Safety Analysis, or Task Risk Assessment, and remind him about safety targets during the project campaign. With Master usually, if I want to inspect the marine part, I will ask his permission and with the chief officer will conduct the inspection or any other HSE activities related to marine crew. Write what you do, and do what you write..” “ FEATURED PROJECT J O INS I G HT 7 2 P. 18

Continuous Improvement One of the main roles of the safety and health officer is to give management a recommendation related to HSE after the project campaign, what can be maximized, which part must be improved, and so on. In Java Offshore we have one of the tools which is U see U act report, by analysing this report we can determine which part should be improved. The Safety and Health Officer can analyse the trend of overall HSE performance during the project campaign after that SHO can implement changes to improve the HE part during the next campaign also with this data for personal SHO, I can manage to improve myself more on the next project. Challenges and Rewards SHO has challenges during project campaign, such as: 1. Identified updated regulatory rules. 2. Managing work priorities, Time to make a reporting activity during the project campaign 3. 4. Facing a stubborn crew Sometimes need to determine which crew will get a reward after project completion. 5. At the end of the day, all challenges can be overcome together by managing myself first, being a role model on how to work safely and applying good communication with all crew, and never getting tired of reminding all crew about safety and health campaign and target. Conclusion Finally, a Safety and Health Officer on board must maintain the HSE Target that is already agreed by all related parties while he/she must update the rules from regulatory and other related standards. A Safety and Health Officer must not get tired of reminding all crew day to day about safety and health as well as the environment part. During emergencies, SHO must not panic and keep calm so he /she can have a clear look at what happened and what to do next. Manage a good relationship with all crew so the messages can be conveyed clearly to them and the HSE target can achieved. FEATURED PROJECT J O INS I G HT 7 2 P. 19

I was born in Ngawi a small town in East Java, Indonesia. Exactly on April 26 1977. Born in a rural and agricultural environment where my parents used took me to the rice fields every day after school. After graduating from high school, I did not go to college because the costs were expensive, finally I tried to register at a maritime school in Surabaya, 3 years of school and 1 year of practice on a ship as a cadet, graduated in 2000. After graduating I went to look for work in Batam and was placed in the alumni mess. After applying for jobs in various places, I finally got a position on a Malaysian tug boat involved in towing and anchor handling. Following that, I upgraded my diploma and sought challenges and experiences on different ships and with different companies, including tankers, cargo ships, utility tugs, container ships, ASD tugs, work boats, and AHTS vessels. In 2009, I had the opportunity to board a surveytype ship, and eventually, Mr. Wahyu called me to join Java Offshore in 2016. Work history

Siti Hajar, GIS Analyst/Processor What motivates me to wake up early is the sense of truly living life. By rising early, I can accomplish many tasks, such as household chores and gardening. Every weekend, I get up early and head to my yard to clean, admire my flowers, vegetables, and the trees I've planted. I feel refreshed when I see the green plants. Before heading outside, I ensure all household chores are finished. Once everything is done, I can rest and enjoy the day as I please. However, this is just my perspective and mindset. What motivates you to get up every morning? Read this edition’s Employee’s Perspective on: Raden Rara Rahajeng (aka Ajeng), Tender & Commercial Executive The quote 'Past is history, future is mystery, all we have is now' is a common saying that everyone may know. Though it may sound cliché, it serves as my motivation to get up every morning. This quote reminds me to always live in the present moment, to create countless memories, and to build a list of dreams and bucket lists. Since the future is a mystery, we never know what will happen in the next second, minute, or even year. Therefore, each day is a new adventure that must be embraced. I never know which dream of mine will come true today. Perhaps it will come true tomorrow, in two days, or even five years from now. I am always excited, eagerly waiting for the moment when I can check off another item from my wishlist. There are still many exciting things I need to try and experience, like sitting by the edge of Big Almaty Lake, enjoying the thrill of a mountain coaster, or even trying a new cafe with lovely foods in town. If I don't get up every morning, how can I experience these adventures? Of course, I can't. So, I get up every morning to live an exciting life the next day. JO CREW J O INS I G HT 7 2 P. 39
